I just have to share...my cousin is on Who Wants to be a Millionaire on 12/1 and 12/2!

Posted: Dec 1, 2009

I doubt few will really care, but being from Kentucky, I just had to share!  I'm sure others from KY here can relate to the "hillbilly" stereotypes we hear all the time.  I'm just so  proud that one of my "kinfolk" has a shot at a million:)

It's on at 4:30 p.m. EST, WKRC (channel 12).

but I am about to burst. He's a great "kid." We are all so proud of him. He has been trying for a long time to get there. He was actually hoping for Jeopardy, but sure wasn't about to turn Regis down. LOL

I will wish him the best of luck - just me/hmmm

I have made a note (and hopefully remember) to watch. That's truly exciting for you and your family.

I will be wishing him the best of luck and hope he wins.

For those who are interested, his name is...sm - Proud-MT

Curt Russell. I don't see the harm in posting it when he's gonna be in front of millions tomorrow. I hope he wins that much! The show was actually taped about 4 to 6 weeks ago. He's the only one who know exactly how much he won. I can't imagine having to keep a secret like that, especially around my clan! lol I guess we'll all know tomorrow!

Good luck! :) - just here

To Mr. Multi-millionaire Moore:  I would like my cut of "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Capitalism: A Love Story" right now.  I think you should an example for the rest of the evil rich folk.  After all, if the money doesn't belong to the American who earned it, then you need to get your checkbook out now.  "They're sitting on the money, they're using it for their own -- they're putting it someplace else with no interest in helping you with your life, with that ...

Wanting To Help A Cousin....Jun 12, 2013
I have a cousin who's mid 40s.  He's been a high-end IT person in the past, but without a degree he's being turned down a lot right now.  He has some diabetic issues and can't do a job standing really, so he's wanting to possibly work from home.  He's tried the Direct TV positions mentioned on this site before.  Does anyone have any other suggestions for working at home??  I'm just not sure of too many companies doing customer service, ...

More News On My CousinNov 19, 2016
My cousin had his fingers fixed and didn't have to be under anesthesia so long. However, now we find that he has a fracture in back of his other leg. Don't know if it will have to be surgically repaired or not. His temperature was 99.7 so it is not elevated much if at all. I appreciate all of you praying for him. He is only 21 and has been through a whole lot anyway. He had a hair lip and cleft palate and had many, many surgeries on that. He is a very handsome boy now. ...

Please Pray For My CousinNov 16, 2016
My cousin was hit by a train today (not in a car). He is 21. I am not sure of the exact story but he has a broken leg, arm and maybe internal injuries. This happened in my small town and they took him by helicopter to Ft. Wayne Lutheran Hospital. Anyway, I have not heard anymore about him. He is having some mental issues, but then he has ADHD or ADD, hyperactive, but not sure what else he has. My neighbor said she had talked to a person who had seen him nearly get hit by a car beca ...

Please Pray For My CousinOct 13, 2015
Please pray for my cousin. She woke up at 2 a.m. and thought she had heartburn. Took one of her husband's pills but the pain never went away. They found a 4 cm aneurysm on the right side of her heart. Not quite sure what they meant by that, but they have taken her to a heart hospital in Indianapolis for further testing and care. She was having so much pain. They said she had not had a heart attack, so found the aneurysm on a CAT scan. I think she is late 40s or early 50s maybe, n ...

Correction About My Cousin With The Possible AneurysmOct 19, 2015
Okay, she does have a 4 cm aneurysm, but not on the aorta. They say that they can't do anything about it till it is larger. I did not know this until tonight. Her husband didn't tell me that, just the part about pollen causing the pain which I doubted.   ...

My Cousin Sent Me A Link On Nigerian DeathsApr 26, 2011
If you are squeamish, please do NOT open the link. It's shows violent deaths. It's so sad what is happening in other countries when you're not the "proper" religion. Why is this not important to the rest of the world or even the U.N.? Obama mentioned Yemen but never Nigerian atrocities. I can only guess why.  I also read the comments and that, too, is scary. I'm posting the caption and first paragraph of this article.   Photo: KADUNA, Nigeria (AP) — ...

Amy Austin Dunham: "I'm a bit late chiming in about the cop who was acquitted of murdering Philandro Castile, I know, but I am going to add my thoughts anyway. I watched the newly released dashcam video several times, along with Diamond Reynolds' video, which I have seen several times as well. We have two different videos to watch and put all together as best as possible. Never did I see a reason to pull a gun on him, let alone shoot him. He was killed because the cop was scare ...

Has Anyone Ever Used A Midwife? Care To Share?Jan 05, 2010
Just found out my daughter is pregnant (her second).  The first experience was so bad for her.  Hypoxemia, induction gone wrong, emergency C-section, anesthesiologist actually threatening her, and the baby had jaundice at a dangerous level that no one even noticed until I made them test him (he went home with a light vest and home health nurse), all of which was reported to the hospital administrator and so on.  Bad memories. She really wants this time to be different.  She ...

Time Share NightmareSep 08, 2012
My stepfather purchased a time share property many years ago.  I think he and my mom used it a total of three times. For years now he has been attempting to sell the time share.  Three years ago I went with him to meet with a representative who told my SF the property was now out of his name.  (After my SF gave him a check that day for $4,000.)   It never happened.  Two and one-half years ago I took a phone call up at the house when he was not home.  ...

Just Wanted To Share....Over The Years...Mar 04, 2013
I have been asked on many occasions if I could show people how to do what I do because "I know you make a ton of money".  Today, that comment is good for a never ending laugh!  I did want to share my two favorites.  Driving through the local Burger King, the gal that handed me my food asked me what I did for a living.  I love this part- I told her and she said, "oh, how nice".  When I gave her a little more detail, she said she was SURE she could do it.  Her mom wo ...

Share Pea Soup RecipesOct 13, 2014
I'd like to share my pea soup recipe, and would like other ideas as well. I don't measure things, so just use your own judgment, likes/dislikes. Use a very heavy pot like an enamel pot or dutch oven. First, I take some olive oil, heat it, then sautee up some chopped garlic, onions, celery and carrots. I remove them from the pan when they're done, add a little more olive oil, then brown up a ham steak really well. Let the bottom of the pot get brown. (You can cube the ham steak ...

Share Finger FoodsNov 14, 2015
Holidays are coming. Here are some of my favorite, easy-to-make finger foods. No utensils needed by the "eatee," LOL. Probably can even get away with just a cocktail napkin instead of a plate Roll-ups: Get plain or flavored soft tortillas. Spread a little mustard on it, then place a piece of ham (or turkey), lettuce and cheese--I use Swiss or Provolone--and roll up and cut into pinwheels. I put the lettuce in between the cold cuts and the cheese. It makes them less slippery and messy. These a ...

Have To Share After Having The Best Nights Sleep I Have Had In Years ... (sm)Oct 04, 2010
Hubby and I bought a new mattress over the weekend, it is a Serta Memory Foam mattress.  We actually purchased this at Big Lots of all places, regular $1000.00 and we paid $400.00.  I have had problems with my back for the last several years and generally toss, turn and wake up several times during the night, to the point of finally giving up, getting up and getting on the sofa.  Last night I was extremely skeptical, went to bed and when I laid down on the mattress I felt like I w ...
