Unscientific poll

Posted: Mar 14, 2012

With all the recent news from Afghanistan (most of it bad), I just wondered what the opinion of those here on the board was about whether we should stay and try to make things right or get out now.

;

Unscientifically, I say get out now. - ozzymt (NM) I mean it!

Get out. - My vote.

If we had vaporized that entire country on 9/12/2001, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today in the middle east.

And oh, joy - now we're just about to go to war with IRAN.

Umm. Can we count you among the crazies? - sm

There are freakish serial killers/people who choose to interpret their religion (no matter their religion or origin) in a fashion so as to justify killing. Think about this...We had a serial killer in the US who killed because a dog was spouting religious dogma to him. Should we have nuked the part of our country where he lived just to get rid of him? Your rhetoric sounds/smells of BS to me.
well then, let's nuke christians, too. they're - just as bad. religion SUCKS.

[ In Reply To ..]
Nothing that we do will make those people happy. We are wasting money, American lives and I just don't think it is worth it anymore. Get the heck out!!! Just my opinion though. I personally feel we should stay out of the Middle East. Let them hash out their problems on their own. If they come over and do something bad to us, we go and bomb the he!! out of them but we don't go into their country and try to rebuild it and turn them into a democracy.

Wow - some of the replies you received... - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I'm sitting here with my mouth open and at some other ones just shaking my head.

First to answer your post. I think we should get out. There is no reason for us to be there. Innocent soldiers are being killed and for what. Our presence isn't changing anything. It's awful to see this. We should not be trying to impose our type of government upon them. I always think, what if the shoe was on the other foot. What would we think if they came over and did the same thing to us. I just think it's a waste of time, money, and innocent lives - both them and us.

Now, on to the other crazy posters here. I'm appalled and ashamed to live in the same country with people who think this way. I read nuke-em, crazies, in-bred. Some of the responses just sickened me. This is a country of human being. Men, woman, and children. Just like here (men, woman, and children). They have lives, and homes, and jobs and family. The in-bred comment really floored me. That had to be about the most stupid thing I've ever read. But they could be saying that about people here.

I agree with you 100% ! When Im wrong, - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Im wrong and I'll admit it. I thought only backward, ignorant, uneducated people in this country would say something like that. Oh how wrong I was. Whoever you are, do yourself (and the rest of the world) a favor and educate yourself. Put your fears aside. Be a better person.

I know - I was surprised at some of them. - Zville MT

[ In Reply To ..]
But it's interesting to hear what some people think about all this.

I agree with you and most of the other posters - I think it's past time to get out. We should have never gotten involved with nation building to begin with. Too many lives wasted, not to mention money and time. And now that talks with the US have been called off and they're threatening beheading of our troops, we should load up fast and get those men and women home.

Finally, something most of us can agree - on! NM

LOL! I knew there had to be something!!! :) nm - Zville MT
