Things about the healthcare bill that I learned last night ... (sm)

Posted: Mar 26, 2010

Okay, one thing that I learned that did not have to do with the healthcare reform but instead has to do with the TARP is that over 450 billion dollars have been given to something like 13 districts that DO NOT EXIST!!!  Okay, so where exactly is this money?

Regarding the healthcare bill, I watched as a young man who had obviously taken the time to read the 2700 pages of the bill confront senators about portions of the bill.  It was shocking to see exactly how little these people know about something that they have pushed.  While every point that he made to these senators (I believe that there were 3 that he confronted during this interview that I watched, one was Al Franken who told the young man to shut up no less) was, again, printed plainly in the bill.  The senators wanted to argue with him, call him confused, a "kook" and even went as far as telling him that he did not understand the bill.  The most shocking thing that I learned in this short interview is that under this bill we will pay for Native American child molesters to receive therapy and treatment.

I will try and find a link for these interviews, it was something that I just stumbled across last night but I found this young man very intelligent, informative and passionate about what is going on in this country.

Sad Site - Sighing

I've got a google alert set up for key words and this site keeps popping up. I've never seen such a negative site. Everyone's up in arms about their employers, about transcription, about speech recognition. Concerning the health bill, I'm quite happy our tax dollars can go to treat Native American child molesters. Has everyone forgotten what this country did to the natives that were here before us? I say they deserve much more than this country is giving them. Concerning speech recognition - it's 99% accurate now and will continue to improve. The need for MTs will slowly be reduced to near zero. I'm sorry, it's progress. Think of all of the telephone operators that lost their jobs when automatic switches were invented. If it makes you uncomfortable, find another line of work. Negative thoughts and feelings only sour a person. For now, be happy you're still needed and have a job, there are thousands of people without one.

If you don't like it, don't read it.....bye-bye!! - nm

example, 72-second report, 41 corrections had to be made, and that is par for the course. Many people complain of ASR, it is really bad for the most part. Also, people have a right to their feelings, go be happy, you don't have any right to try to tell other people how to feel. You are not in their situation. Don't read if you don't like it.

Healthcare BillJun 29, 2012
This healthcare bill only has a few good things in it, but it was passed so it can insure 30 million people in america that don't have health insurance.  there are 300 million people in the united states.  The healthcare bill is not about health care or insurance at all, it's about making the government more powerful.  Now they can tax our behavior.    It's about expansion of government.  Exerting behavioral control over american people.  Th ...

Vote On Healthcare Bill Is Being DelayedJun 27, 2017
Republicans could not get enough support from their own party.  McConnell knew they would lose the vote.  Wants to change the bill, get a new CBO assessment, and vote after July 4th.  CHANGE THE BILL?  This should be interesting.  After 8 long years, they still have no idea what is best for healthcare for Americans.  Repeal, replace is all we have heard and still nothing.  The tax reform, infrastructure, everything is currently riding on what happens with this ...

If Romney Had Embraced His Successful Ma Healthcare Bill..smJun 07, 2012
rather than run away from it, I think he would have been a shoo-in for president.  Instead of looking like a flip-flopper he could have taken credit for Obamacare since it is so similar to his plan in Ma.  He is so concerned about courting the right wing of the party that he is like a chameleon, selling his soul to the highest bidder.  In the end, he truly doesn't have the heart to be a really right-wing politician and really is a moderate republican, though a very wealthy on ...

Whistleblower Reveals How Insurers Can Game Healthcare BillJan 21, 2010

The federal regulators wrote these regulations, of course. Who will have to deal with the regulations? Insurance accuaries, state insurance commissioners and insurance companies---the people who know how to deal with it.   Watch this video. Healthcare's Bipartisan Problem. Almost Half Of Healthcare SpendingJan 13, 2017
healthiest half of the population consumes only 3% of health care costs. The only alternative would appear to be taxpayer subsidies. It is next to impossible, politically, to take away freebees once in place. Income redistribution continues to increase. The 2010 health law, also known as Obamacare, forced insurers to sell coverage to anyone, at the same price, regardless of their risk of incurring big claims. That provision was popular. Not so were rules requiring nearly everyone to have ins ...

Did you all know that women are not equal to men under the law on a Federal level?  As in, there is no constitutional gurantee of our rights as citizens of the US?  As in, any rights that we do currently have at the fed/state level can easily be rescinded because there is no constitutional guarantee of protection? I don't know the word for it when someone can do something and it comes natural to them.  My mom and dad could draw/paint anything they wanted to.  I cannot, but I would like to.  Would like your opinions if you think drawing is something you can learn or a talent you are born with (think talent is the word I was looking for). HealthcareMay 09, 2017
I had Obamacare and even with the subsidy still could not afford it and was paying for nothing essentially because there was no way I would ever meet the deductible.   To be forced to have to have something is not the answer and as awful as some think that the repeal and replace of Obamacare is, we have to do something and we have to start somewhere.  Obamacare was meant to fail and did noone any favors and, by the way, we were LIED to.  We have to have choices and competitio ...

Why Don't Some Consider BC To Be Part Of Healthcare?Oct 22, 2012
Insurance should cover prescription drugs, such as antibiotics, narcotics, antidepressants (how many here are on THOSE??) and birth control pills. Are birth control pills considered different b/c they're related to sex?  Is that what it boils down to? I was put on them at 14 years old by my pediatrician.  It wasn't covered; we had to get them at PP.  Why wasn't it covered?  If I'd had an infection, antibiotics would have been covered. A small percentage ...
