Thankful President Obama is

Posted: Mar 25, 2012

for part of the pipeline.  Regardless of how he feels about continued use of oil for energy, he's gotta admit that it will at least put Americans to work....and God knows we need that.  However, I still don't get why he talks about green energy and opposed this pipeline for the longest time before agreeing to it....when he funded off shore drilling in Brazil.  I guess I don't get the double standard there.  We give aid to Brazil for drilling and yet Obama seems to oppose drilling at all costs here.  What gives?  I truly have no issue with researching and developing alternative fuel sources....I just don't think we are there yet and until we put all the pieces together to come up with an affordable alternative energy source....no matter how much you hate it....oil is the answer for now.

We have more oil drilling going on now than - during Bush years FYI NM

Drilling now was due to Bush permits - approved, not Oblablah -FYI

Try reading something besides this board. You are sooooo far off it is laughable. The oil being drilled now is up ONLY ON PRIVATE LAND AND HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH OBAMA. These permits were issued under Bush, NOT OBAMA. OBAMA DECREASED DRILLING ON FEDERAL LANDS BY 17%. Obama has cancelled permits that were issued under Bush, as well. Your post is so erroneous it would be funny if it were not so sad that someone like you is so uninformed. Trying checking out something besides CNN, MoveOn, HuffPO and go to the oil drilling permit maps. Now you'll scream for a link. My response to all, get off your *** and put it in your search engine- pretty easy to find the truth and it is not on your side..Oh Wait, you flamers are not interested in truth.

land and stay out of the federal land. Of course maybe the environment doesn't mean anything to you, but it does me, so good for Obama.

Pres doesn't have to approve state to state - sl

[ In Reply To ..]
The President's approval is not required for constructing a pipeline state to state, only from one country to another (Canada to US). He had nothing to do with the construction of this. He is just playing politics here.

state to state - Glad to see someone with actual intelligence

on this board. Obama is just playing politics, but those worshipping at the Obama altar refuse to actually read the actual process. Obama also took credit for the lower portion of the pipeline (in OK), which was another grandstand on Obama's part. It did not require approval from Obama, had already been in use when Obama tried to take credit for it. Thank God there are those of us on here, not of the confused liberal mindset, that actually read for ourselves and don't follow the lib's talking points like sheep to slaughter. Totally clueless bunch on this board, these libs, that try to pass off sarcasm, insults and old-worn out, recycled lib rhetoric as intelligence....so, so sad.

Perhaps you should do some research on Gulf dolphins - Inquiring Mind-NM

Did President Obama Know About The VA Problems?May 19, 2014
It's being reported that the president knew about the problems at the VA since 2008, and so he should since he is Commander in Chief. So, if he knew about those problems and all these other scandals brewing, just what has he accomplished during his presidency other than the colossal failure known as Obamacare? Of all the scandals, the one involving Veterans is right up there with Benghazi. The very people who have volunteered to protect America, including the President, and this is the than ...

Obama Is One Spiteful About To Be Ex-presidentNov 21, 2016
Every president has stayed out of the next president-elect's policy changes, etc. and helped them transition to the new administration. Not this guy. He said the two talked about "organizational issues," as well as domestic and foreign policies. "I believe that i ...

President Obama Clashes With McCain InMay 25, 2010
