Very thankful to God

Last night my niece and her 13-year-old daughter were on their way to a family member's high school graduation. My niece was in the passing lane and noticed that drivers in the right lane were weaving as if to avoid something. In a flash without warning a deer hit my niece's car. The front end of the car was completely demolished. With the impact the windshield broke and the hood of the car popped up. My niece was at that point unable to see anything and was still moving.

Today I saw my niece and her daughter at the family graduation party. She told me that the way things played out saved lives. If she had seen the deer coming she, too would have instantly tried to avoid it and would have possibly caused a multiple-car accident. My niece's daughter has very red marks on her neck from the seatbelt. My niece has a bruise mark on her forehead from the airbag.

I am so very thankful that both my niece and her daughter's lives were spared. We live in Pennsylvania. This was in Lancater County on Rt. 30 heading west. This is a very heavily traveled road. I am so very thankful. Just wanted to share this.

Bless you. My family has had too many accidents with deer. My husband is now nicknamed "Deerslayer". He works for a light company and we live in a very rural part of NC. He has hit probably about 10. A couple in the company truck. The last one outran our car and then tried to pass in front of it. It came from behind the car and cross in front of the car. They can be dangerous. Our insurance company just laughed after questioning my husband driving record because one of the accidents was listed as a hit and run. The HP reported that a deer hit the vehicle and "the suspect left the seen of the accident". The deer was the suspect not my husband....lol

I must say after doing some reports where people are not near as healthy as I am I am thankful for that. I can't help but be depressed though because Christmas this year is not much at my house. My husband lost his job in October and got another one in November (thankful for that) but it is only part time. He may go a week without any work or work everyday some weeks.
