President Obama to 2010 Graduates

Posted: May 4, 2010

"But what troubles me is when I hear people say that all of government is inherently bad," said Obama, who received an honorary doctor of laws degree. "When our government is spoken of as some menacing, threatening foreign entity, it ignores the fact that in our democracy, government is us." Government, he said, is the roads we drive on and the speed limits that keep us safe. It's the men and women in the military, the inspectors in our mines, the pioneering researchers in public universities. The financial meltdown dramatically showed the dangers of too little government, he said, "when a lack of accountability on Wall Street nearly led to the collapse of our entire economy."

determined to take over everything. I truly hope that people wise up and realize what a catastrophe we will be in for if we allow Obama to do everything he has planned for us. I hope the crats get a smack in the face come this November and I count the days until I can vote for whoever runs against Obamanation!!

The dramatic financial meltdown had nothing to do with dems forcing banks to give high risk loans or the number of dems who had their hands in the banks and getting sweetheart loans from them.....or how about Barney Frank with Fannie and Freddie. Funny how Obama never remembers that sort of corruption.

don't you mean "uppity"? - Nm

The post said arrogant, which I too agree with.

Obama is an arrogant man.
an example of arrogant - would help
[ In Reply To ..]
can you give an example of what you mean with respect to the president being arrogant?

If I could have an example, it might help me understand what you mean.
As you wish - sm

An example of Obama's total arrogance came over concerns that Democrats are facing another repeat of the 1994 GOP take over of Congress after two years of liberalism under Bill Clinton. With the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts many Democrats justifiably see the hand writing on the wall and 2010 being a massive defeat for them in November.

To, "sooth," their fears Obama responded in his arrogant fashion by stating that this year would not be a repeat of 1994, because, (get this), "you have me." That's right Mr. Arrogance actually believes that Democrats will not suffer a huge loss in November because, never fear Obama is here!

Of course he fails to mention that he could not bring the Olympics to Chicago. Nor does he mention that EVERY Democrat candidate he has campaigned for since becoming President has lost to their GOP challenger even in a State that was a blue as they come, namely Massachusetts. So his record in preventing defeat is not exactly stellar but that does not seem to faze Mr. Arrogance.

Yes, another uppity arrogant black man trying to make a difference. nm - oldtimer

It astounds me that they can call him "arrogant." (sm) - Nikki

He travels the country, showing how he's an average American, just like the rest of the people.  He displays outstanding family values.  He promised healthcare reform when he was campaigning.  He didn't get what he wanted because of Republican obstructism, but he did manage to get a healthcare reform on the books.  Maybe it can be fixed later to include things like the public option, which was taken out to appease the Republicans, yet they still voted against it.

The LAST thing this man is, is arrogant!

This astounds me too. What about the bow? He wasn't being - called arrogant then
[ In Reply To ..]
was he? Quite the opposite. Some people will just jump on anything and make it into whatever they want in order to criticize and name-call.

harshly criticized pubs or Bush or anything....more double standards. We can't hold Obama's feet to the fire because we are racist and violent. He can bow to other leaders and make a mockery of our country all the while kissing Muslims butts while they continue to try and blow parts of the US up.
You can do or say whatever asinine things you - want
[ In Reply To ..]
Nobody is stopping you. Of course, it doesn't mean that no one will comment on how asinine it is. Stop whining.
News flash.... - sm

THE DEMS DIDN'T NEED THE CRATS TO PASS HEALTH CARE. OMG...you people blame pubs for every little thing and the fact...which you continue to ignore...is that dems had enough of them that the pub vote wasn't needed or necessary. They could have put anything they wanted in that bill and voted for it without any pubs being on board....but they didn't....why....because there were some dems who didn't want it either....that is until Obama dangled incentives in front of them behind closed doors. So give me a friggin break with the pub blaming here.

As for arrogant...the man talks bad about his own country to other countries. He is constantly pointing the finger and blaming others without looking at the problems in his administration. This man is the perfect example of do as I say and not as I do.
The only people against it were the people who - put the almighty $$ ahead
[ In Reply To ..]
of people, suffering Americans. The pubs are about nothing now except obstruct, obstruct, obstruct! They can not even decide what they believe! It changes from day to day depending on what they think will gain political points~who cares about the people!!

As for arrogance, you have to be out of your mind to think this man is arrogant-I have seen him take the blame for things as well, and Lord knows we never saw that before, and especially not from Bush! You want to talk about arrogance?? The swagger and sneer of that man reeks of arrogance!

Never mind. You are not worth my time.

President Obama Approval RatingOct 24, 2012
