President Obama's diplomacy over

Posted: Jan 16, 2016

Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, who has been held in an Iranian prison on spy charges for almost 18 months, were freed Saturday along with three other Iranian-Americans in a prisoner swap on the eve of the lifting of U.S. sanctions against Iran, according to the Iranian news media. Oh, I know, he played some golf and took a vacation or two. Not as many as anyone else, but he didn't deserve as many days off as anyone else, did he? http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2016/01/16/iran-prisoners-release/78893472/;

Umm, no - Big picture

Donald Trump was the first person to say after the American sailors were released something to the effect of this "What about our other hostages, they should have negotiated for ALL American hostages including the pastor who has been there for what seems like forever. Hmmm, he also said they freed the military men because they have yet to get their hands on the BILLIONS of dollars in the Iran-Nuke deal. It's all about the money, not Obama, Kerry, et al. All those hostages were paid for. Nice try, though. The first clue in this story should have been "on the eve of the lifting of U.S. sanctions." Big picture-crazy Iranians who absolutely hate US, have BILLIONS of U.S. taxpayer money for their NUCLEAR WEAPONS thanks to OBAMA!

The DT mentioning this a few days ago - is what effected their release?

[ In Reply To ..]
That's funny.

The diplomacy of lifting sanctions is what made this happen.

People really believe the DT has magical powers, huh?

Iran Sanctions Could Be Lifted As Soon As January

No, BILLIONS of dollars that had yet to - sm

be in the Iranian hands. DT was just pointing out the obvious, it's all about the money WE are going to give them. Obama's weak, nonaggressive foreign policy is why Iran has had those other hostages during his term as President. Weak, very weak!
Umm--Maybe you don't understand--it's - their money...we are not
[ In Reply To ..]
GIVING them money.
Maybe you don't understand. Those assets were frozen for a reason - and that reason has not changed.
[ In Reply To ..]
This whole "nuclear agreement" thing is a total scam perpetrated on the world through the treacherous collusion of this Muslim-loving, Israel-hating administration and the Iranian government.
That is not the opinion of the governments - who froze the assets
[ In Reply To ..]
That's the way the REAL world works. Laws and diplomacy. Actually new sanctions were put in place yesterday for missile testing. Each infraction is separate and is handled by legal means.
"The" opinion of "the" governments. If you think so, you're - not watching the news.
[ In Reply To ..]
There have been numerous expressions of dismay about and opposition to all of this from many people "in government" - and not just in the US.

It's been all over the news, so I'm not sure how you missed it.

Or, maybe what you meant to say was "the opinion of those in government who happen to be pulling the strings right now" - in which case you would have been right.

This is a multinational agreement and all our allies are in agreement. - nm

Every president has stayed out of the next president-elect's policy changes, etc. and helped them transition to the new administration. Not this guy. President Obama Approval RatingOct 24, 2012
I just took a look at Real Clear Politics and noticed that President Obama's job approval rating is overall +3.4 and Gallup has it at +11 for the past couple of days, and more people polled have approved of his job performance than have not for quite some time.  If this is the case, and it appears to be, why would people vote for Mitt Romney and deal with the unknown?  It strikes me as odd since Romney seems to be somewhat ahead in the polls with the exception of IBD/TIPP. ...
