That's excellent news. I like Gov. Walker. He's trying to do what is best for the state. I've been with him since the beginning of when all this started and glad to hear this. Wish I had a gov like him. Instead we have blah!

I live on a border state and will not being doing business in WI - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
A friend told me he had called the businesses in WI that he is a customer of and told them he would not patronize until Walker is impeached or recalled.
I will do the same.

Good thinking...hurt innocent people - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
because you don't like the governor of WI. Man...what a GREAT idea! I know I always take my anger and frustration out on innocent people when I'm mad at someone else. Makes total sense.

Share the suffering right? I am not supporting corporations. - nm

[ In Reply To ..]
They need to do the recall.
...and if you are successful in bringing down - those corporations...
[ In Reply To ..]
and the hundreds or thousands of people who lose their jobs because of it...collateral damage, right?

You better stop putting the DNC/socialist agenda under the bright lights before you lose what little support you have left. It seems to be the tendency to go for the throat when you are thwarted, no matter who you have to step on on the way. And yet they "say" how much they care about the "poor" and middle class. How many employers and their middle class workers do you want to destroy? Oh wait, all of them...that is the real socialist agenda.
I, for one, don't want to bring down the corporations. I even invest in them - Hiring Isn't Happening even with those big tax bre
[ In Reply To ..]
They are not using tax breaks in order to hire more workers. They are using plenty of money for lobbyists, but the hiring isn't happening.
No hiring is being done by any corporation... - in the US? Is that

what you are saying?

just like people boycotting AZ because of the immigration law? - WI MT

[ In Reply To ..]
You see how well that turned out didn't you? Arizona's economy is booming. Plus as a bonus the people of AZ don't have to deal with the liberals. Win-win.
AZ's economy is by no stretch of the - imagination
[ In Reply To ..]
booming. Go read their stats. They still retain some jobs in military manufacturing, some of the stuff obsolete, but they are not "booming." They're also having problems that are very costly with irrigating ecosystems that should remain arid.

I plan to sell any stock of businesses located in Wisconsin - I do not want to be part of this

nm

a better idea - also in WI

[ In Reply To ..]
You can google a list of companies that actively supported Walker in the election. Those are the companies to boycott, but let them know why you are boycotting them.
Excellent idea! - I will do that

Thanks.

industry products.

Wow, there is a warm and caring attitude... - scr*w ALL of you Wisconsin...

[ In Reply To ..]
may you all burn.

What a lovely, lovely attitude. Liberals/Dems/socialists/progressives whatever the buzz word of the day...when it actually comes to putting all their flowery speeches about the poor and downtrodden into action you fall pitifully short.

I have learned more about their agenda since the midterms and the picture that formed is far from pretty.
just wait until their own states go bankrupt - WI MT
[ In Reply To ..]
Then they will come crawling to states who actually have jobs, have managed to keep taxes under control and whose budgets are balanced, like Wisconsin. You may slam us now, but you may actually need us in the future to bail out your own state.

Gee. Can you send me that list? I WILL do business with those companies. - Backwards Typist

[ In Reply To ..]
The businesses have nothing to do with what the governor did. Some people just don't use their heads. If your friend won't do business with WI, he/she only hurting himself/herself. Those businesses will remember that and if they have goods/services that this friend relies on and can't find another place equal in the quality, the friend might have to go back to the WI one but by then, they may not want to do business with your friend.

It's a shame people get so wrapped up in politics that they would even hurt their own businesses over it.

Exactly how far are YOU willing to go - A realist

[ In Reply To ..]

Exactly how far are YOU willing to go?  Wisconsin is not the only State doing this.  Ohio, Indiana, Idaho are already in the news for similar proposals.  Once these States test the waters, many more will not be far behind.

Are you willing to move out of your State if they consider a similar proposal?  Are you willing to boycott all companies in all those States?  Are you going to start growing your own food, milking your own cows, weaving your own fabric, after growing your own cotton?

Exactly how far are you willing to go?  It is so easy for people to make threats without thinking out to their natural conclusion.  A total waste of brain activity that could be used for something more productive.

You're probably right. I will give it plenty of thought before doing anything - nm

[ In Reply To ..]
I was about to buy some stock in a company last week and the CEO acted what I consider to be inappropriately. I'm not buying that stock now even though it had been on my list for a long time and I was ready to buy it.

hard to stomach - also in WI

[ In Reply To ..]
I feel sick reading your comments. Walker is a liar and he is in the pocket of the very wealthy. All this had nothing to do with the budget (the unions had already agreed to the pay and pension reductions) and they have more or less admitted this. Fitzgerald admitted this whole thing is to cut off campaign funding to the democrats in the future and give even more power and tax cuts to the very rich. Walker never mentioned all this in his campaigning and many moderate Republicans did not realize he was simply a front for the Koch brothers and the tea party idiots.

If you want a country that has a corrupt 1-party system there are plenty out there to choose from.

Also if you review Walker's past, it's not pretty. He was convicted of multiple campaign violations and fraud when running for student body president at Marquette. This is obviously where he learned his craft.

Unions are also in the pocket of the very - wealthy unions...the

[ In Reply To ..]
biggest cash cow for the DNC. Funny how that does not bother you.

Did you read the final bill that was passed? It was about the budget and the collective bargaining rights, because if the public workers continued to ask for higher and higher raises (which is what they would have done, that is what unions DO) and more and more bennies...which come directly from ALL the taxpayers pockets...they refused ANY concessions. What good are concessions if the next time the contract comes up they get back what they conceded and MORE?

You say "they" when one person made that comment. And it is a goofy statement anyway...this is just ONE union. There are hundreds of OTHER unions who are going to keep shoveling money to the Democrats...it is obviously NOT what was intended here.

Let's see...all he asked was that they agree not to bargain for wages above the CPI. They flatly said no. If he is going to keep the state in the black (which is part of his job, right) he had to cut costs and cut back spending. The alternative would be to raise taxes every time the unions wanted a raise. Who does THAT hurt? all the OTHER workers in Wisconsin. Oh, but they don't matter, right?

He was elected by a majority in your state to do what he is doing. It is not like he asked them to give up that much...in my estimation they should have been WILLING to do that to help out their neighbors and get their state back on track. But oh NO...ME, ME, ME, I want MINE and to heck with the rest of them.

Well said...funny how they never - see this as a problem

[ In Reply To ..]
There is a huge difference between rights and wants. The union workers' WANTS are being taken away. They still have collective bargaining up to the CPI. They, however, WANT more than that at the expense of taxpayers.

Unfortunately though, he did bully his way through and he won, so it is what it is - I guess it is the new America

[ In Reply To ..]
I don't like it, but it is what it is. This is not the America I grew up in and I sure don't like it.
