I wish I had seen the Walker/Barrett debate in WI

Apparently Walker went scurrying as soon as he was confronted on the tough questions. This has been crazy. Walker has been campaigning since winter and Barrett has just gotten the nomination and getting the steam--how can Barrett catch up? Walker commercials are on constantly.
***************
Milwaukee – Last night, the citizens of Wisconsin got a first-hand look at the gubernatorial candidates as they came together for their first of two head to head debates. Walker earlier in the day had tweeted that the debate should be “simple”, showing an air of undeserved confidence which quickly turned into outright panic, moments after the debate began.
Walker appeared to be stunned when confronted with tough questions regarding his out of state billionaire donors and travels, as well as being taken to task for releasing his own job numbers that conflict dramatically with those released by the non-partisan Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Tom Barrett made it a point to ask Gov. Scott Walker the questions that the mainstream media has failed to ask throughout the campaign, those being “Why won’t Scott Walker release the emails sent through the secret network that was set up in the Milwaukee County Executive office?” and “Why won’t Scott Walker release the details of his travel across the country?”
In both cases, Walker crawled into his shell like a little boy sticking his fingers in his ears screaming “I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you!” Barrett continued to question Walker’s claims of a budget surplus in Wisconsin just weeks before the election. Barrett says Walker has pulled out the credit card and forced future generations to pick up a 150 million dollar tab, just in interest, with his attempt to score political points just before the election. Walker had no answers and seemed dumbfounded that not everyone bought into his attempted “Boondoggle” of the issues.
Tom Barrett was clear and concise in saying to the citizens of Wisconsin that he would end the war on women, workers and education in the state, and would work to reunite citizens so that Wisconsin could again move forward. Walker tried to attack Barrett on his record in Milwaukee, however, Barrett reminded Walker that he was county executive at the same time Barrett was mayor, and that anything he was accusing him of, he would have to share responsibility for.
Barrett emphasized the need to rebuild the trust between citizens and their government and that the state does not need a governor who will drop the “Bomb” on the citizens, or conspire with billionaire donors to “divide and conquer” them. Many have touted the debate as a win for Tom Barrett, but it was more of Wisconsin citizens realizing that they cannot trust Scott Walker to be transparent to the people of Wisconsin, and that what he says in public is much different than what he says behind closed doors.
After the debate, Walker dodged reporters and quickly left the venue, leaving spokeswoman Ciara Mathews to deal with the aftermath. It seemed as for the first time, the mainstream media did their job and not laydown for Scott Walker when they repeatedly grilled her on the question of whether or not Scott Walker will release his schedule from the past year, in which he met with billionaire donors, gave speeches and attended out of state fundraisers before the June 5th election. A recent investigative report showed Walker traveling around the country, using personal time far more than he was in state working or meeting with citizens.
Mathews appeared to resemble a deer caught in the headlights when asked 3 or 4 times on the subject, and each time she evaded answering the question, until finally acknowledging there will be no information forthcoming.
Those on the right are claiming Walker played it safe, but in truth, that’s all Walker had and when he ran out of talking points, tried to end the debate early by skipping the last question. This debate put Scott Walker’s character on display for all to see that he cannot be trusted to be honest or forthcoming with the citizens, and that his loyalty is not to the state, but special interests.

Paying people to put up yard signs! - Who knew?
[ In Reply To ..]
I always thought people put up signs and bumper stickers because they believed in a cause. Then I heard about the T-party and the paid bus riders. Now here is a story I read in the Wisconsin news: (Actually this does not surprise me. I know some people who would take the money, and then go vote for Barrett.)
***
"A woman I spoke with in Oconomowoc told me she knows a couple that lives in a beautiful house on the corner of a well-traveled street. This couple has never been particularly interested in politics, and the woman I spoke with said she didn’t even know if they were regular voters.
Well, one day this woman drove by their house and, to her great surprise, saw an enormous “stand with Walker” sign in their yard. Later in the day she ran into the homeowner and commented on the sign by saying she was surprised to see they were supporting Scott Walker.
The homeowner replied, “we don’t support Scott Walker.” The homeowner said that somebody came to their door and asked to “rent” a spot in their yard for the sign and gave them $100."
Right up there with the paid OWS rioters - and paid union workers

Why no outrage of their payment...usual liberal spin, bias and hypocrisy.
I only got to the first four words. Rest of it is not worth reading - Can't expect any truth from this

"Apparently Walker went scurrying". That's all anyone needs to read. With an opening like that they cannot think anyone with a right mind would even take it seriously. Evidently it's a hack job without any truth.

Ya know, I guess "review" meant that this was a one-sided opinion piece and not an honest review of the debate. ALL negative about Walker and ALL glorifying adoration of Barrett. I am sick of it. The unions (in and out of state) are pouring millions into getting Walker out of office because he stood up to their ripoff of our tax money to pay their outrageous pensions, etc...while we continue to see our wallets shrink.. there is so much underhanded crap on the side of the unions and their liberal left-wing media friends.. it's hard to muddle through to see any truth anymore.. sad, sad.....
FYI: Two-thirds of the $13.2 million Walker raised in the last fundraising period came from contrib - contributors outside of Wisconsin...nm

I think it is interesting that people think that this war in Wisconsin (and yes I mean war)all has to do with public employees having to pay more toward their pensions, healthcare, and other benefits. Actually, that was never the issue. For example, the collective bargaining rights that were taken away from teachers had nothing to do with benefits. Teachers had already made the concessions before the bill was passed. Collective bargaining is also about fair workplace rules and fair treatment of workers, and that is what Walker took away from public workers. I do not understand why any American worker would be against labor unions and be for gutting labor laws. Just want to add that unions have been under attack since the 1970's, and this has coincided with the decline of the middle class and working-class wages.
Walker also made the largest cuts to education in state history and cuts to health services for the poor and signed a conceal and carry law, etc. He has managed to in his own words "divide and conquer" the people of Wisconsin, perhaps permanently. The man is a mere Tea Party puppet for billionaires like the Koch brothers.
That being said, I think Walker will probably win the recall because he has managed to snow a lot of people and has a tremendous amount of big money backing him.
I am also with Barrett. Walker is bought and - sm

paid for by the tea party instigators (Koch brothers et al). He is their test case and will stop at nothing to help him win this recall election. If patriotic Americans stand up the TP will have had their two years of fame and our grand old party will move back to the sane middle where compromise is not a dirty word.
Walker may be indicted soon on misuse of taxpayers dollars for campaigning - Before or after election?

It will be very embarrassing if the governor is convicted with a felony. Election shennanigans run deep.
