Where do we come up with these Republican candidates who are so inept? - We definitely should be able to do better

These people are so poorly prepared to be the President of the United States. Recently I was talking to someone who said of one of the Republican candidates, "I can't believe a word he says, but he's my man. He's the man I'm going to vote for." When I asked her, "But I thought you said you couldn't believe a word he said," she got angry and said, "He's my MAN. He's the man I'm going to vote for." So I dropped the subject. Our country is at stake. I would hope we could have done better in choosing Republican candidates. Clown show is a good definition of it, but it's also scary and tragic that we have come to this.

He may be able to do medical procedures well, but that does not make him a good candidate for president of the United States. He is far from being prepared for that. His comments are totally inappropriate. He doesn't show any knowledge or understanding of international events or history. I can give examples if you want.

won't convince me. We'll see. Heaven knows, Obama says many things that don't make him Presidential material, but he got elected. The difference is Obama listens to no one because he is always the smartest person in the room.

I see no way the Republican party can survive these extremists that have infiltrated it and taken it over. That's a shame. It always worked well having a two-party system with healthy debate. We no longer have that because one party has members who have a one-word vocabulary, "No!" Since they are unable to listen and thoughtfully consider ideas, people will stop talking to them completely, and they will disappear. Sad, but true.

The President would win again if he could run again - There has never been a perfect president

There has never been and never will be a perfect president, but he has done fairly well.

During the first election I wasn't convinced that he was the best we had to offer. I always think we could have done better, with every single president in my adult lifetime. However, even though I haven't agreed with him 100% of the time, he has done a good job, making well thought out decisions and tried his best not to drag us into another war where we would lose more lives and billions of dollars. I don't think it's possible to continue to keep us out of war, but he tried. He really tried. I much prefer that over the group that wants to attack any time anyone crosses their way. No talking to the enemy. Just attack them. Forget the fact that these people in the middle east have been fighting for thousands of years and America is not going to fix what's wrong and make them into a democracy. If Obama could run again, I would vote for him again, because of his thoughtful approach to issues, even though I disagree with him on several.

I understand the tea party group is pretty unpopular these days, but is this really a fair assessment?
