So, I am extremely liberal--by this venue's standards anyway. I was at a gathering of friends yesterday, and, yes, most of us are pretty liberal, there are a few strays, and we had a few jabs back and forth, but the point. I was told by one of my friends that I should watch Carson on Meet the Press...it was outrageous, funny, (all the other side political jabbing, you know how it goes, most of you do it with Hilary). I just had time to do it. This is the most reasonable I have seen the man. He wasn't demeaning and defensive and condescending (all of which I would have previously attributed to him in prior interviews). I would say, he almost looked tired and a little slow, which may be to his benefit in how he comes off to people who are not necessarily his fans. 1. Immigration --okay. 2. Black Lives Matter--he still doesn't really get the BLM point, but he was okay on the tangential of police issue (I did take objection that he made analogy of BLM wanting all of police killed since some were not good). I did agree that he didn't really call the movement "silly" and that was taken out of meaning. He said the word "silly" but he didn't mean the movement was silly. He meant that the PC aspects of chasing down every nuance was silly. 3. He skirted the Bible over Constitution question. I need that one answered by him, because I will not let the wild interpretations of the Bible take precedence over the Constitution. (I don't really need that tangent to be taken ad nauseum, I get the other side, I just don't believe it, and restating it over and over and over isn't going to help.) Of the choices that are out there for the Republicans-- Trump ---Absolutely Not Cruz -- Absolutely Not Walker -- I would rather not, but he may be the most Republican you have. Bush -- I would rather not endure that mind set and lack of education. His speech made a lot of sense and it was very enlightening. I am not into the political mumbo jumbo, but his speech was to the point and all for the American people, all people, regardless of race, religion or creed. I like his views on the issues, spending and how we need to handle it. We need new blood and get these crooked politicians out of office, we need someone for the people and who will fight for the people, especially those who are not rich or well off that can get favors done or bills passed just by making a large donation.

I understand the tea party group is pretty unpopular these days, but is this really a fair assessment?
