I'm glad someone is finally standing up to what is right.

I'm glad President Obama is right also - Dr. Carson is off his rocker

Nope - he is not right - Dr. Carson is well respected

Imam has done nothing to deserve respect.

Good for him, he IS a psychopath - the nonpsychiatrist known as Dr. Carson (nm)

PS:. By Carson's own definition, which of course is inaccurate. If it were accurate - then all politicians would be psychopaths

[ In Reply To ..]
which is possible, I guess lol. However, Carson's only definition of a psychopath in the article in the OP was:

"Because they [psychopaths] tend to be extremely smooth– charming people who can tell a lie to your face with complete– looks like sincerity, even though they know it’s a lie."

Now if that were the only criteria for diagnosing a psychopath, all politicians would be psychopaths, possibly to include Dr. Carson himself - but it isn't. There's a bit more to being a psychopath than habitual lying. (I'm quite many lawyers and politicians ARE sociopaths and psychopaths, but that isn't the only criteria.)

See, this is what happens when narcissistic doctors think they can solve ALL problems and dabble in disciplines they oughtn't.

For example, taking it off humans for a second to avoid controversy (but still illustrate my point) - ever watch the show "My Cat From Hell" on Animal Planet?

The reason Jackson can solve behavioral problems vets can't is because he's a behaviorist, not a doctor. After all medical reasons for their behavior have been ruled out by vets, their job is done. Only behaviorists watching behavior patterns in an environment can determine and solve behavioral problems (if they are solveable).

I'm not a behaviorist or a doctor so I'm not qualified to determine that about Obama or Carson, that takes regular, in-person contact, studying behavior over several sessions. It is NOT diagnosed through media.

I don't know if either are psychopaths, actually, my original comment was just a quick joke while on my way out, playing on what he said/what was already said here. However, if you are running for President of the United States, you really can't run around calling people "psychopaths" arbitrarily. Because the next thing that would happen is a nuclear warhead would be dropped in on our heads if he did. Speaking of which, Carson has no foreign policy experience whatsoever and if this is his "diplomacy" skills in action, we'd clearly be in trouble.

Which brings me to my last point. Though I agree that both Obama and particularly Bush have lied unnecessarily, as the POTUS in general, you really can't always say what you think or tell the American people everything, either, and that doesn't make them psychopaths. The POTUS has to be diplomatic, private about security issues, and reassuring to the American people to avoid panic.

UPDATE: I did not write the second PS to this comment. When I left a comment alerting others to the fact that it was not me and that I would report it as impersonation, only my comment was removed. Below is an unaltered copy of what was said by the moderator versus what they are CLAIMING was said under the "Gulf Nations" post today.

The email contains both a copy of my original comment in this spot as well as the moderator's response as to why they removed it vs. what they're saying now under the "Gulf Nations" post.

Note: No threats were made and the moderator said nothing about threats in their email. So why are they saying it now?

My intention was to let others know the second PS wasn't from me as the first was, and to warn the poster that if it happened again, the consequence would be reporting them and letting others know.

"If this happens, the consequence will be reporting it to the moderator and letting others know" as you would a child.

Will somebody tell me why, if you're an MT stars moderator, you'd support allowing other people to PS another author's comments?

And worse, punish the person warning to give consequence of reporting them for doing it again?

Additionally, it's very clear that a Ben Carson fan/Tea Party member is responsible. Not the best ad campaign that Tea Party members like Ben Carson and followers are honest/aren't pathologic liars themselves.

Now who's the psychopath? - see link

[ In Reply To ..]
All this talk about psychopath may just backfire on Mr. Ben

While such inflammatory rhetoric may play well in Republican primaries, it is likely to alienate the moderate and Independent voters that Republicans need to capture to win a general election. When Americans think of psychopaths, they are reminded of men like Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh or Aurora Theater shooter James Holmes.

Comparing President Obama to a psychopath is not only morally repugnant, but it is also a politically dubious strategy as well. When Ben Carson draws the comparison, it is not likely to stick because it is so absurd. Even if it does stick, Carson risks the ironic possibility that voters may decide he reminds them more of a psychopath than President Obama does.

So in other words, most of society eventually finds out "the smeller's the feller" - not always, but that's often true

[ In Reply To ..]
As I said in my earlier comment, I am not qualified to determine who is a psychopath or who isn't, none of us are (despite people here on an MT board claiming they can). In fact, though an MD, Dr. Carson is not qualified to diagnose behavioral disorders, only biologic issues. In fact, his job is done when behavior cannot be attributed to anything biologic, and thus far, we have not found anything conclusive biologically that sociopaths and psychopaths actually have any physiologic or biologic abnormalities.

However, we do have the trite but true phrase "smeller's the feller" for a reason; people often project negative personality aspects onto others that are actually true about themselves. Not always, but many times when people throw these extreme words around so carelessly, it does leave them suspect themselves.

And interestingly, many believe there are perhaps already sociopathic/psychopathic tendencies about a person who can incise other human beings so objectively for a living, despite some of their intents being to help others. Because not all of us could do that as our profession, just in emergency situations, we're too empathetic towards other human beings.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with that theory, but it is interesting.

You go, Ben. You are 100% NOT relevant, and you'll be gone soon enough. LOL - sm

Ben is at their service for a fee. Ben will be more than happy to take their money and speak their evil since he's no different than any of the other mouthpieces of the "patriots" who want to "take our country back" to a time when good old Ben would be picking their cotton and/or shining their shoes and would be their chattel.

He still belongs to them, bought and paid for, just some of the money makes it into Ben's pocket in this day and age. LOL.

Dem Leaders Enraged At Obama And OFA - Calling ItFeb 17, 2017
For those who don't know, Obama didn't get the memo about appropriate behavior for former Presidents.  Like some deposed dictator in exile, he's sitting like a spider in his DC walled castle, agitating and fomenting unrest in the nation that tossed him and his surrogate to the curb.
