Record Number of Americans want Obamacare Repealed

And I am one of them. My premium more than doubled and my coverage is not as good. Although I know that some people did need the protection this law apparently afforded them, those of us who did not need the govt's help with this issue should not be penalized for it - especially in this so-called free country. So either repeal it and start over or fix the areas in it that do not work.

I had to buy a policy that was approved by the ACA, even though it was not the type of policy I wanted. That is the mandate the law put on us. So I had to buy a policy that did not fit my needs, either by coverage or cost, not like my prior policy did (you know the one we were told we could keep if we liked it), or face a fine for not complying with the mandate should I get caught not complying. Ahh sweet Freedom!!!

Oh, and BTW, I don't THINK my premium has increased, I KNOW it has, about 150%.

Consumer Reports had a really good article a while back about how people had been getting scammed by the unscrupulous private insurance companies being sold policies that really covered nothing. So glad Obamacare does away with that.

As I stated above, it was a policy that worked quite nicely for me. Maybe it would not have worked for you and your life circumstances, but it fit me quite well. I don't need you to be happy for me.

if you get sick or have reached a predetermined "lifetime limit" on your coverage. Many people didn't realize they had stinky policies because they were lucky enough not to have to use them for a serious illness.

we should not be penalized and fined for not having insurance. Some of us simply can NOT afford it right now.

We have the situation where I cannot work MT more than part time due to physical problems and I sure can't work on my feet for any amount of time, but none of that is likely qualified for disability. He is working 50-60 hours a week at $11/hr. He's going to have a college loan to pay back soon at anywhere from $300 to 500 a month.

How the H do you think we can afford insurance right now at almost $200 a month, or more? I'm on state medical assistance because I can't work full time to get insurance thru an employer, nor afford to pay for it myself. He makes too much money, according to govt, to qualify for assistance.

It's actually cheaper for us to pay the d--m fine and be done with it. Tax credits wont cover the insurance payments by maybe half, if he qualifies for that at all.

This whole plan sucks, and it should be fixed and done right. Unfortunately, it never will be truly affordable for those of us who need it the most because the way this is set up right now, it's lining someone's pockets.

Yes, it helps some people, but it's really screwing a lot more who can't afford to be screwed.

Hi I am thinking about becoming a MT but unfortunatly I do have a criminal record. I had gotten into some trouble back in 2008 so now I have a misdemenor assault.
