MS lawmaker--but it was off the record --so I

Nope, that's racism

During his explanation, Alday said he comes "from a town where all the blacks are getting food stamps and what I call 'welfare crazy checks.' They don't work."

Alday also told the newspaper about a time he visited an emergency room.

“I liked to died. I laid in there for hours because they (black people) were in there being treated for gunshots," Alday was quoted as saying.

"I am definitely not a racist, at all," Alday told Mississippi News Now. "Because, I mean, I get along with everybody. And I've spent a lot of time helping people."

This is prime example of people who don't understand racism.  It counts, even if you just think it, but don't want to publish it.  It is part of his fiber and his real truth.  It affects his behaviors and thoughts.

Racism is alive and welll, and as in the 1950s and 1960s, people refuse to recognize it or realize.

Dem. Lawmaker Wants DHS To Give Illegals Jul 13, 2014
On CNN’s State of the Union this morning O’Rourke said he wants to give them asylum before they even leave their country. “So if we’re truly going to address this problem we’re going to have to address it here. Why not have State department and DHS down in those countries processing potential refugees and applicants for asylum on the ground so they don’t have to come through Mexico.” And allow half the country to come to America? What an idiot. Just what we need, anothe ...

US Lawmaker Calls For Probe Into Possible $418 MillionMar 04, 2017
A North Carolina congressman is calling for a probe into a potential $418 million contract between Kenya and a major U.S. defense contractor announced on President Obama's last day in office -- a deal the lawmaker claims reeks of cronyism. Republican Rep. Ted Budd wants the Government Accountability Office to investigate a deal between the African nation and New York-based L3 Technologies for the sale of 12 weaponized border patrol planes. He said he wants to know why a veteran-owned sm ...

MSNBC Host Berates Democratic Lawmaker Over Soaring Insurance StocksDec 19, 2009
This why I like Dylan Ratigan.  He holds everyone's feet to the fire, regardless of whether he/she is Democratic or Republican. The health insurance companies' stock has gone up because they know they won't have any real competition because the government is giving them the huge gift of millions of new customers who have no choice but to purchase insurance from them because the Democrats are catering to a few specific Republican politicians (Mary Landrieu (sp?), Lieberman, S ...

Texas Lawmaker: Obama Is âGodâs Punishment On UsâApr 26, 2010
Texas governor 'proud' to be in Glenn Beck's 'army' It seems conservative firebrands are seeing God's punishment everywhere these days. First there was televangelist Pat Robertson who in January told his audience that the Haitian earthquake was punishment for Haiti's founders having signed a "pact with the devil." Then came radio host Rush Limbaugh, who last week suggested that the Iceland volcano was "God's punishment" for the US passing health care re ...

Becoming A MT With A Criminal Record... Possible???Aug 13, 2012
Hi I am thinking about becoming a MT but unfortunatly I do have a criminal record. I had gotten into some trouble back in 2008 so now I have a misdemenor assault. It has been hard finding a job, mostly working directly with people but if I do become a MT I would want to work from home to be with my son. Also I was thinking of going though Penn Foster. Will I be able to find a job with the assault? What do you think about Penn Foster?? Thanks! ...

How To Find Death RecordSep 23, 2010
Okay, here is my problem.  I have been trying to find a copy of a death record/death certificate/obituary online.  We have a friend that we have known for over 20 years who we lost contact with about 8 years ago or so.  He actually lived with us for over 6 months at one point.  He eventually moved back to the area where his family is from and we lost touch.  He was one of those friends that you can not see for a long time and then when you do see them again, you pick up ...

Record Campaign SpendingOct 26, 2012
I might be the only one, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The amount of money spent campaigning in this country is ridiculous.  And for what?  Do those ads even do anything?  Do they change peoples' minds?  I don't think they do.  All they ever seem to me is a childish tit-for-tat that makes us all look stupid. It just feels like both sides are trying to create the ultimate Hollywood film, and whoever's movie is better wins the prize. I'm aw ...

Food Stamp Use At Record HighsNov 30, 2009
MARTINSVILLE, Ohio — With food stamp use at record highs and climbing every month, a program once scorned as a failed welfare scheme now helps feed one in eight Americans and one in four children.
