He makes no secret of that. Also, people hear him say something outrageous so they go ballistics over it, not hearing the part about him just quoting someone else. Rush's superb at using the left's own words against itself. The Magic Negro (by movie and culture critic David Ehrenstein in a Los Angeles Times op ed column of March 19, 2007) is a classic case of misplaced outrage.

There is a whole generation of kids who grew up in the post-911 era. Lots of pictures of kids and firefighters from that period.

We have a new generation of kids now who need to see that we, as a nation, (and that includes them) value their safety and are willing and capable of making a commitment to remedy our society's problem with gun violence.

It is for this reason that I do not see these children as props or tools. I see them as citizens of this country who have an important stake in this very real public health epidemic.
