Someone who cares about the people of the country. Someone who is intelligent. Someone who isn't only looking out for their own personal gain. Someone who will work for the people. Someone who will work with EVERYBODY no matter what party they belong to. Someone who won't call people that don't belong to their party "the enemy". Someone who will not falsely accuse others of being a racist. Someone who will follow their own rules. Someone who understands economics. Someone who even if they don't care, at least appears to care about the people.
Anyone who fits any of those criteria would be my choice.
I don't want someone who just "appears" to care...sm - Proud to support Obama

about the American people. "Appears" indicates dishonesy, a liar just to get elected, untrustworthy. Obama will be my choice because I know he cares more about our country and doing what is right than about the fat cats on Wall Street and rich corporate-world shenanigans.
Then I see you don't want Obama - by your own message
[ In Reply To ..]
You admitted it yourself. You don't want someone who just "appears" to care.
Appears indicates dihonesty, a liar just to get elected, unstrustworthy. You just described Obama to a T.
Obama does not care about our country. He can sing a great song, heck I was even mesmerized by his speeches (which later found out someone else wrote for him). He's got a great speaking voice I give him credit for that. But his words and actions are two totally different things. Have you been awake the past 3 years.
Those 'fat cats on Wall Street" you mentioned. Guess who they support? Obama. Why? Because Obama is making them fatter (i.e. richer). Why do you think they are pouring millions into his campaign.
C'mon people wake up. Look at things from the outside. Stop devoting yourself to the party and look at the individual. Look at what they do versus what they say. More times than not it's two different things. No different with Obama. He has done nothing of what he promised during his campaign, except to blame Bush. "Well I can't start to fix the economy yet because it's Bush's fault. I can't get jobs back to the country because it's Bush's fault. I'm going to continue to make the rich get richer and that's Bush's fault. I'm not going to help the American people and that's Bush's fault". Oh yeah, and the all time favorite. Three years after he is in office "I can't do anything overnight ya know".
Proud to support Obama. Obama will be my choice. - What part of that do you not get? nm

by your own words "Someone who doesn't just "appear" to care". The part where you said you don't want a "liar just to get elected", "untrustworthy". "Someone who cares about the country". So either you want someone like that or you want Obama. They are two totally different people. If you want Obama that's fine, nothing wrong with that. It just means you don't want someone who cares about the country or the people, just his image. You don't care if someone has any ideas about bringing jobs back to the people of the country, just how rich he will be. You don't care if he's a liar, because he has proven he is, and that you don't care that the fat cats in wall street are getting fatter (i.e. richer) because they are under his watch AND they are getting richer and contributing largely to his campaign to get him re-elected.
So, by your own words in you OP you don't want Obama. But if you do want Obama then you don't care about those things. Can't have it both ways. They are two totally different things.
What do you hope to accomplish with this silly back talk? - sm

You can only speak for yourself. We get it. You don't like Obama. S/he does and has said so. Evidently, s/he feels exactly the opposite as you do. End of story, unless you feel the need to preach to the choir for hours on end. Nobody else is listening.
The same thing you do. You too can only speak for yourself - Not end of story
[ In Reply To ..]
No, evidently you don't get it. Luckily I see a lot of other posters feel the same way I do. For the past three years it's been bad. The rich on wall street are continuing to get richer. Nothing has "changed" (for them at least) AND they are supporting Obama so they can continue to get rich while we are the ones who suffer. All the promises of the rich paying more, their "fair share" he talked about and then doesn't do it. We are the ones who are paying. Maybe you like him because you are one of the rich who will get by. I and others are not. All the "dreams and hopes" we had. Yes, he convinced us to vote for him. He was supposed to be different. He was supposed to make a difference. He was supposed to stop all the crap that Bush/Cheney pulled. He was supposed to end the wars, help people get jobs back, get the debt down, work across the isles (i.e. work with everyone no matter what party they belonged to), etc, etc, etc. Sure he was a great speaker. Promised us the moon and a whole lot of hope. But the fact remains none of it came true. As the saying goes - he could talk the talk but not walk the walk. All his promises gone. Actually they never even came about, except to say he couldn't deliver on his promises because it was Bush's fault and "I can't do things overnight (3 years later still staying that). Meanwhile I and others keep struggling every day and nothing is getting better. No jobs, family still losing their houses. Nothing. In case you have not been in the country these past 3 years, its not getting better. There is NO hope. Unless you are rich, which I am not. Glad you are doing well and I wish you the best. So people can go ahead and keep their head in the sand and not care. But when the lies continue to pour out, it just really is irritating knowing the truth from the BS that is being regurgitated over and over again. When people cannot stand outside the box and look in and see things objectively and realize the truth, but instead wish to follow the pied piper I think that's bad. All I'm saying is everything the poster wrote that h/she wanted in the next president is not Obama, no matter how badly they want it to be. H/she is talking about two different people.
If, and that is a BIG "if", things turn around this next year. If he keeps some of his promises. If he hires people to help get the economy going. If the housing market evens out. If we see a definite improvement because of what Obama is doing I will vote for him again. Politics is not like what it used to be when Kennedy was president. I have not met a truthful politician yet, so no, Obama is not the first. I will have to say one of the reasons I am glad he is president is that Hillary is not. And that is definitely something to be very grateful for.
And just because you don't want to talk about it and look at the facts does not mean its the end of the story.
Utter nonsense. You need to rethink who's been trying - nd who's been obstructing.

So you think the repugs have just been innocent bystanders all this time and have played no part in our current state of affairs? It's a rhetorical question. No need to fire off another broken record until you are willing to examine ALL the facts, which so far have been absent in your posts, as they are nothing more than emotional outbursts and one-sided opinion statements.
Did I say that? - No, I did not - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The facts remain for the past 3 years (and longer of course) the Wall street fat cats have been getting fatter. Thanks to the Bush crew AND the Obama crew (and I'm sure the Clinton crew and before him).
You are purposely ignoring the facts that Wall street has been getting richer and richer with this current administration and pouring their money into his reelection.
You are the one who are ignoring the facts because you don't want them to be true.
I didn't mention anything bout the republicans in my post. This is not one of those "well if they did it why can't we" childish antic.
Since you won't examine ALL the facts and continue to live in some fantasy island idea that all democrats are good and care about the people and those rich nasty "repubs" well it's all their fault" then there is nothing more to say.
Try examining ALL the facts, not just the ones you like. Get out of loyalty to one party (which by the way they are all the same people running the show whether you want to believe that or not). Same rich getting richer under republicans are getting even more rich under democrats. Whether or not you want to believe makes no difference. I'm just tired of hearing the absolute BS that the liberal media keep feeding to their followers.
Wake up people!

President Obama Took Credit In 2012 For Withdrawing The TroopsJun 21, 2014The last two paragraphs are the most interesting. This is why Obama may go down in history as a liar-in-chief. This just proves how he is so incompetent. Too bad the double standard only works for Democrats and too bad the Democrats can't see truth even when it hits them on the head.
