Sticker shock

From US Weekly re. the night of the debate: Ann Romney was sporting a "short-sleeved crimped cotton silk dress by Oscar de la Renta" to the tune of $1,690. "Obama, 48, styled a shift dress and cropped jacket from Michael Kors' 2013 resort collection. The dress retails for $1,795 and the jacket is $1,495," which totaled $3,290. Not that this matters in the whole scheme of things; it just is a point of interest. I can't imagine paying that much for a dress/outfit.;

Me either, but I could get used to it fast. Good - fabrics that always hang well. Umm! Oh, well. nm

Every time someone says MO is dressing herself up with our money, others pile on and say, no it's their own personal money. Well, then that indicates to me that they either have a lot more money than the Romneys or Ann Romney just knows how to spend money wisely.

admittedly, she wouldn't have taken kindly to THAT fate. :) But I want credit for feeling sympathy for her looking like George's mother during the first term (the guy just would'n't age). I was still a bit of a kid back then, and...she was Babs, so I think I deserve it.

These new extremist Republicans don't use facts. They shout, turn red in the face, get angry, and avoid facts, because the facts don't agree with their agenda. They never stop talking, but they never talk about anything of substance. If it's mean-spirited and fits on a bumper sticker, that's as much as they can deal with. Ask for more than that and you get more bumper-sticker mentality, more words, still no substance. ...
