OB whines and says GOP is party of billionnaires then runs off to

Posted: Oct 9, 2014

drum roll please..... "Rich Richman".

Priceless!

Also I'm sure he is having a memory lapse but the top billionnaires of the country are democrats.  Would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

;

and poor senile old Harry Reid is obsessed with the (sm) - me

Koch Brothers! LOL - Obama is also closing a lot of traffic so that he can be at Gwyneth's house for dinner tonight - you know her, the one who thinks she has it harder than working mothers in the real world. LOLOL - They are a pathetic lot, those D's.

Note to Self - Oh, Irony!

Turns out that the truth is the Democrats are the party of the rich billionaires and well-to-do Americans and not the party of the 47% of takers that conservatives keep whining about. Turns out, 37% of the people actually living off the government are really red state conservatives afraid of losing their socialist government handouts from the blue states.

Note to self: Turns out, Democrats are earning the real money and having to pay it to the non-working socialists in the red states who are the real takers.

Just say "no" to the real takers and vote Democratic.

What's in your Kool-Aid? - OMG.

This is priceless, too.

Better still, just say "no" to the American Party - System. Theyre all the same.

I'm skipping the midterm election because frankly, I don't even care. It's already bought and paid for, before the first ballot is even in the box. Meanwhile, I have serious family problems I need to concentrate on.

In 2016, I don't plan to vote for either "party", because as above, it's all rigged, bought and paid for by corporate cash. Our puny little votes don't count, especially when you factor in the archaic Electoral College system. I plan to do one of two things:

1. Vote for a completely independent candidate, provided that candidate is worth voting for.

2. Walking away from our fake "democratic" system of voting. Democrat or Republican, the only true difference between either of them is which fat-cat corporate CEO threw money at them.

I disagree - midterms do matter

[ In Reply To ..]
Also, how do you think Bush got elected in 2004? All those altruistic Ralph Nader voters played a big part.

I agree the system needs fixing, but 8 years of Bush turned this into a rich man's paradise and a poor man's hell. It also made a whole lot of us a whole lot poorer because there appears to be very little regulation in the workforce - good for the owners, not so great for the little guy (we MTs are a prime example).

The Supreme Court is rigged and corrupt and not reflective of this country at all, which it should be, since it is making our laws. Worker's rights are gone, corporations hold sway over our politicians.

So many things wrong, but voting for an independent is just going to cancel your vote unfortunately, unless it's someone like Bernie Sanders or Greg Orman, those who can win, that is.

I live in NY and I hate my choices right now. Vote for Cuomo who will most probably greenlight fracking, which I feel is a disaster, or vote for the Republican Astorino who not only would do that but would also cut Medicare for the elderly amongst a multitude of other bad Republican ideas.

IMO no contest, despite the fact that Cuomo really does not deserve my vote. The lesser of two evils, I guess.
Except that someday, the MAJORITY may not - vote for either party.

Change has gotta start SOMEWHERE.
If we can ever get the money out - of politics
[ In Reply To ..]
That might be true, but there is such a stranglehold now and lobbyists are infesting our govt and pretty much writing the laws with their own boilerplate (witness the ominous ALEC), so how do we get them out?

It would be great if there were anyone outside the two main parties who would run independently and have a chance. I watched the documentary on PBS on the Roosevelts, which was fascinating. It seems like they used to run independently a lot more frequently back then, and occasionally they actually won. It was much more ideas and populist politics then. Now it is just entrenched corporatism running the govt.

No surprise GOP has tough time - understanding

the difference between picking the pockets of billionaires who voluntarily show up at campaign fundraisers to support the president's party versus the GOP practice of shilling for them 24/7/365 in the halls of Congress, catering to their every whim and stealing from the poor to give to the rich while lining the pockets of the 1% at the expense of the beleaguered middle class. No surprise at all. The right just can't stand to see wealthy democrats, checkbooks in hand, ready to cough up hand over fist. Drives them insane.

VERY good point. Thank you. - sm

Republicans orchestrating all of the tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy, then getting it back in "donations" or extortion pay-offs and donors showing up at fundraisers.

You really don't know much about the two parties do you? - Except the tired old bloviations.

[ In Reply To ..]
For instance, see if you can figure out which party bears most of the responsibility for the subprime mortgage derivative collapse.

I get sick of people parroting the tired old liberal line, which doesn't have 10 cents of truth in the dollar.
I think we can all - agree
[ In Reply To ..]
those two previous posts struck a nerve. This reply adds nothing of relevance. Instead we get another tiresome insult and attempt to change the subject. IMO, assigning blame for the subprime mortgage collapse might have been of interest in 2008, but in 2014 it would be more appropriate to discuss how it was fixed and under whose watch. Don't you agree?
Logic is wasted on Republicans. Still, it - was refreshing to read.

R-NJ US Senate Wannabe Whines About WomenOct 10, 2014
Jeff Bell, a clueless GOP 47% takers' poster boy, blames "rise in single women" with or without children for his 20+ point deficit in his flailing Cory Booker challenge.  He says he's less threatened by women in traditional marriages, preferably of the financially dependent variety, but bitterly bemoans the unfair advantage democrats derive from declining marriage rates.  He appears oblivious to the contempt blue state NJ voters hold toward misogynistic conservative extremism ...

His bizarre reasoning for shooting an unrelated UPS driver and his odd smiling booking photo might mean he was driven more by mental illness than a political ideology. Please don't turn this into a gun control rant. We have 25,000 guns laws that include mental illness. His actions show premeditation. The Tea Party (disgusting And Full Of Vitrole And Hatred) Are Not The Republican Party HopefullyApr 17, 2011
I hope with everything I have in me that the Tea Party does not represent the Republican Party. This is what the Tea Party stands for. They are full of vitriole and hatred. This is not what the Republican party stands for. Obama & New PartyJun 07, 2012
On the evening of January 11, 1996, while Mitt Romney was in the final years of his run as the head of Bain Capital, Barack Obama formally joined the New Party, which was deeply hostile to the mainstream of the Democratic party and even to American capitalism. In 2008, candidate Obama deceived the American public about his potentially damaging tie to this third party. The issue remains as fresh as today’s headlines, as Romney argues that Obama is trying to move the United States tow ...
