From posters saying they're leaving, they're being driven off, they might leave, they're thinking of leaving, maybe they'll leave. So what? If they want to leave, how does this become a political post? If they want to go, why does it have to be annnounced and then they immediately follow that with their farwell song bashing other posters POVs. Is the purpose of a political board to allow the Goodbye Girls to use their swan song for "smack-downs" of others (their quote, not mine)?

How do you expect the Moderator to know "what's up" with someone else's post? I'm not one of the people who've posted that I'm leaving, driven off, etc.; but I can make a reasonable guess that the reason they post that they're "out o' here" is that they're hoping some will recognize that the sniping, name-calling, etc., are driving off some who might offer intelligent and thoughtful contribution to the conversation. That's what I come here hoping to find.

That's just a guess, though, since I can't read peoples' minds, and I doubt if the Moderator can, either.

If they choose not use the guidelines in place, that's on them. Moderator has said time and again, skip or do not respond to post or posters whose message you don't like. Pretty simple directive. Some of the biggest complainers are the worst offenders. Seems like the biggest complainers just love it when they think they hooked someone just so they can go on, post after post, about how abused they are. A 9-year-old child can see that much.

Why on top of the post about Romney's religion, sending it to the faith board? He is of a faith that has for years promoted prejudice nad all kinds of crazy stuff. Romney says his religion shaped him and made him what he is today. I think that makes his faith VERY relevant to the politics board. Where have all of the posts at the bottom of the board gone? It seems as if once they hit the bottom of the page, they drop into some big black hole somewhere, never to be seen again. LOL! It also seems that the board is shorter, as well, causing the posts to just fall off. Where can I find the rest of the December posts? Thanks for any help you can offer. ...

How do you go about getting in contact with the moderator? After the thread below about saving money on every day things, I thought this would be a GREAR positive post/category. Is there any way I could pursuade you to add a "frugal living" option to our other talk boards? With a tight as things are for most MTs, I think it would not only be helpful but fun to be able to share ideas on how to save on and resuse household items. As there ar every few nays to this suggestion, I'm hoping for a vote to make this a new category. Everyone, not just MTs, are feeling the pinch nowadays. It would be wonderful and I believe very, very helpful to compare ideas and suggest sites that help with pinching pennies!! Even saving $50 a month in cost savings is a big deal today. Again I hope you find it a positive idea and create a new board for us frugal folks!! ...
