Biden has been around the block once or twice or three times before. He has a son who is serving in the military.

Did Ryan enlist to fight for his country?

One thing about the Romney/Ryan campaign is that one must listen very close when either of these cartoon characters speaks.

What we DO know is that Romney has nothing but contempt for "47%" of the population who refuse to take responsibility for their lives. I wonder if YOU fall into that 47% category because I believe Romney's claim is that middle class starts at $200,000 a year.

LISTEN to them when they say they will change Medicare to a voucher system.

LISTEN to them when they say they want to take Social Security and, once they get rid of all those pesky regulations, invest it in Wall Street. That sure takes the "Security" out of Social Security.

It's hard to listen to them when they don't detail how all this can be done without raising that 47% number.

It leads me to believe they want an oligarchy or even a "King." Eventually, probably not far in the future, there will only be two classes in this caste system they're advocating: The very very rich and the very very poor.

Neither Romney nor Ryan with their somewhat surgical presentations of their plan have cut out the heart of the matter and I guess we should just trust them.

I might be part of the 47%, but I'm not stupid.

Obama has my vote. He at least CARES about people and how he can help the people who need help. He already did help some people keep their underwater homes. There was pending legislation to extend this help, but, of course, as always, the Republicans voted against Americans.

If you're in the 47% of us who aren't "taking responsibility" for lives, you may very well be working two or three jobs in order to keep your head above water.

Romney wanted General Motors to go bankrupt. Obama fixed General Motors.

Romney wants to continue home foreclosures so an "investor" could buy the homes and "RENT them out. Doesn't sound like the American Dream is alive in well in Romneyland.

Everyone has different feelings about the candidates they prefer.

I'm just not going to shoot myself in the foot when I vote.

Again, don't listen to talking points. Listen to the candidates and the words that they utter.

You say to LISTEN to Romney/Ryan. I have....they are tweaking their plans. It's a little hard to put plans out there when you aren't in the political circle (Romney) so ask the other side for ideas. When Romney was governor, he stated he worked with both sides to achieve the things they achieved.

Whether you like it or not, Simpson-Bowles was mostly a good plan but Obama rejected it without even reading the whole thing, so tell me HE was really interested in turning the country around. He wasn't-just interested in putting his plans in effect.

Just about everything Biden said at the debate was a lie. So Biden's son was in Iraq. Okay, he gets credit for that. That has nothing to do with governing. There were plenty of other Democrats that have/had family members in the service but you don't see them bragging about it, now do you? That's just something Biden hopes "Vote for me 'cause my son served."

Biden voted for the 2 wars when he was a senator, now didn't he? Yet he stated he voted against the wars.

Biden and the president didn't know there had been several requests for additional security in Benghazi prior to the attacks of 9-11. That claim was either another lie to cover their butts or an example of just how out of touch, naive and incompetent they are. After all, Charlene Lamb stated she turned down the extra security requests, but she's also under the State Dept. and I'm sure she can't just approve important things like this without going above her position; i.e., Hillary and Obama/Biden.

On another note, Obama hasn't been attending the security briefings and since he's so busy playing golf and campaigning, I'm sure he doesn't have time to READ any memos or reports from this arm of the government since there are so many reports made every day from every agency.

The HHS mandate came up during the debate and Biden said that the mandate will not force any Catholic to pay for contraception. If it wouldn't, how come over 40 organizations including Catholic dioceses, schools, universities, and charitable organizations are suing the government over it?

Just about everything Obama said when running for President was a lie. Why else would there be 5 pages of broken promises on Politifact?

I've come to the realization that it does not seem to be in me to understand the larger truth, and therefore I am not able to evaluate discussion of day-to-day events in that context. As near as I can tell, actual counts of exposed lies are irrelevant when you know that the Democrats are bent on total deception.

The entire climate of Wash. D.C. is rudeness right now. Have we forgotten how a Republican was beyond rude calling the President a liar during a speech on national television? Or, how they have begun calling the President "Mr." Obama? And, don't start in on "well, he is a liar... yadda yadda..." The majority of politicians are not very fond of the absolute truth. I would have been just as critical if a Democrat had done the same thing to President Bush, and I was not a Bush fan at all.

When either side is pointing the "rude" finger at one another, they forget that they each have 3 pointing right back at themselves.

So, what say we just all drop the "rude" accusations. Both sides are equally culpable on that score.

He interrupted his opponent countless times, steam rollered clean over the moderator, ignored debate rules protocols and (rudest of all, just like Biden) appeared so confident he couldn't control all those insipid SMILES he kept flashing while lying through his teeth.

Face it. The GOP got a taste of their own medicine in the VP debate. They had foolishly ginned expectations of Ryan up so high that no mere mortal could have possibly measured up, all the while slamming Biden and expecting to see a buffoonish gaffe machine. That's NOT what they got, to be sure.

It's one debate, just like the previous week. Stop whining and simply suck it up. Personally, I felt Ryan did OK (better than I had expected) but he was out-gunned from the get-go. Town Hall's just around the corner. Try to hang in there until then. Any of this can turn on a dime and you'll have a 50-50 chance of claiming the spoils of victory soon enough. I'm really looking forward to seeing how well R's handlers have prepared him to "connect" with real-live middle-class 47%ers in the audience. THOSE optics are something that simply cannot be faked.

Being I have a mind like a sieve lately, I'll have to look it up again (LOL) but I don't remember him interrupting Obama. I am listening to the first debate now and don't hear ANY interruptions from Romney. I heard Jim Lehrer trying to interrupt Obama to try to get him to stay within the alloted time, which Obama refused to do. He just keeps yapping until he gets everything out; i.e., to heck with the debate rules--I'm the President and should be able to do whatever I want to do and that includes running the debate instead of the moderator.

Since the Biden/Ryan debate is still fresh in my mind and the stations are still playing it over and over again, yes, Biden was RUDE with a capital R-U-D-E.

I can't wait for the Town Hall debate either. Has Biden taken any questions from the audience at his campaign stops? If not, he's liable to be in trouble.

Just heard New York and in the Eastern Coast may get 20-30 inches of snow.
