Seems like the board is filled with thread after thread of posters acusing others of being other people. I think I remember a message you posted quite awhile ago about something regarding people should not assume posters are the same people (or something like that). I'm tired of reading all the posts saying I am Sam, then Sam and tstone are the same, Backwards Typist and Sam and tstone and me are the same, etc, etc. Sometimes it can be amusing, but mostly just an irritant. I am certainly not any of them and this board seems to be obsessed with people accusing others of being everyone else. I once asked a poster to ask you if I was the same as someone else, but I dont think they ever did. I know you can tell for sure who is who, and I was wondering if you could let people know we are not all the same people. Actually I really don't care if other posters are the same people, I enjoy reading their posts, but it's getting tiresome reading all the accusations, or trying to have a discussion about it and then we're shot back with the accusations that we are other people and rude remarks (I don't mind the rude remarks - I can handle it, but the subject matter gets lost in the post), and now it seems to be constant on this board lately. So, I was just wondering if you clear up the confusion because you know who we all are.

I'd love to get back to political discussions without people attacking us for our beliefs. Disagreeing with a subject matter is different.

I just said "posters accusing others". It's just getting tiresome.

I'd love to get back to the subject matter this board is for. We all have our disagreements, but when I post something and a reply is not about the subject, but rather to call me someone else, or that someone else is me, it just gets a little annoying.

Care to join me also in limiting response posts to the nonpersonal? It is a waste of board space and has no real place in adult discussions. I have responded in kind and should not have. I will cease doing so. Care to join me in that as well?

I was reading a post that was interesting, but I didn't have anything substantial or felt like posting (I don't always reply to every message) and I saw my name as though I had replied. Then trying to read post after post of people accusing us and a couple others being the same people. I did find the threads amusing and it did make me laugh, but the subject matter gets lost. Then I have to double check if I'm on the comedy board or the political board. LOL

All I know is the moderator is the only one who knows who is who and I thought she would be able to clear up any confusion and set the record straight of who is who so posters don't feel the need to tell me I replied to something I didn't or call me someone else.

I would like to get back to decent conversations without swipes at posters. I will confess to being guilty of it myself and I will cease in doing it. I don't get involved in a lot of your conversations because a lot of your subject material is over my head and I don't understand a lot, but I will post if I understand, agree or disagree about something. I understand frustrations are high. I think a lot of people are upset at the election that was just held, and that is understandable, (probably as much as what happened at the last election) but I'd like to see more frustration taken out on the people who lost and the reason why they lost than us here on this board.

Anyway...I too will make a resolution now to never make a post personal or accuse someone of something. I hope a lot of posters will too.

and responding in kind was not the right thing to do. It was time for it to stop. It took up board space was just silly. So I am glad you made the post. :-)

I rarely step in on this board but, as the poster starting this thread states, the board has become filled with a few personal wars.

I've deleted and banned a few key players here.

Debate without making it personal. I don't care what anyone's opinion is - you can leave out the personal stuff.

As well, I will remind you that not one of you have any idea who the absolute identity of another poster is. Even if the same moniker is used, it does not represent the same poster all the time. So, stop with trying to "flag" posts to others that you feel are the same poster.

If you find yourself being caught up in too much emotion, step back and take a break.

If you believe a post is in violation of posting guidelines, report it. Don't try to take matters into your own hands and reprimand the board. Don't start calling names. Don't try to warn others about a poster.

Don't report posts you simply disagree with. You'll have to get a thicker skin.

I would like for people on this board to pray with me concerning my job. I am a "Nana" to 6 grandchildren who have no support from their fathers, so I really have a high budget. I had taken a medical transcription course and graduated with a certificate of honors 2 years ago. I never found a job in the field despite all of the hard work and effordt I put into it. Hello, I am having some health issues with my gallbladder, or so it seems. I don't have health insurance as it is not offered through my job. I can't afford to have anything done. I have some unknown neurologic condition. I now have no reflexes eliictable in my lower legs, my head is numb and I have copious fluid pooling in my mouth. Why on top of the post about Romney's religion, sending it to the faith board? He is of a faith that has for years promoted prejudice nad all kinds of crazy stuff.
