Naturally, this breaks down along the lines of socioeconomic class, i.e. wealthy moms vs welfare moms. Here we have a CSPAN video from January 2012 where Romney is touting what sounds like his plan for privatizing unemployment. This is a scheme where folks would contribute money while they are working to an "unemployment account," thus eliminating the current requirement for employers to do so and transferring that MANDATE onto workers, in addition to tax and SS paycheck deductions. There is no mention of a similar mandate for those like himself and the other ubers who don't work for a living and instead, rely on tax-free investment cash flow from offshore and Swiss bank account funds.
At around 0:48 in the video, he discusses how women on welfare (giving the specific example of the mother of a 2-year-old) should get a job so they can have the "dignity of work." Guess the work those moms do at home don't fall into the same category as the your-job-is-more-important-than-mine work his wife does and, therefore, does not merit the same respect. Stay-at-home-moms with mountains of money already have plenty of dignity, thank-you-very-much.
Wow. What a stunning display of hypocrisy and what a revolting development this is for those cons riding the crest of the poor Ann distraction. Policy has a way of rearing its ugly head when you least expect it. So do videos that preserve the flips and flops of political candidates in the middle of an identy crisis.
