It's nice to know that even if Romney is elected, there's still a 50/50 chance we'll be getting a moderate liberal. Every politician flip-flops. It's called being a politician, but Romney seems to be going for the gold.

The most confusing for me recently is his plan to build 15 more ships per year. He says that we need that many to "fulfill our missions." What is the mission? We're supporting a civil war in Libya, occupying a country with no Navy and helping Afghanistan rebuild its... oh wait, they never had anything... but they're landlocked. In fact, the last country we fought with what I would call a Navy would be Germany and Japan in World War II. Unless we've decided that another world war is what we need to pull ourselves out of a depression, I have no idea what one would do with a Navy that size. The Pentagon doesn't even want that much. The Pentagon! They've paid 200 bucks for a toilet seat and 30 bucks for each bolt on a stealth plane. They thought it was perfectly reasonable to build each F22 Raptor in pieces over 46 states. But they think this is going too far? Take a hint Romney. Why are politicians so dense?

Since I can't trust a thing that comes out of Romney's mouth, I have to look at his actions. He has a moderate/left-leaning voting record, a career as a venture capitalist (money vulture for the layman), and successfully hosted the Olympics. That's not a lot to go on considering he's running as the guy to fix the economy and setup a Navy backed global Mormon theocracy (until Romney says what the Navy is going to do, I can make crazy, baseless accusations like the above and no one can prove me wrong LOL).

I was actually lying in bed a couple of nights ago wondering/worrying what he would do with all those ships when it occurred to me that military experts around the planet had to be doing the very same thing at the same time. I mean, they watch everything we do and we are the world's only superpower already.

Try looking at him from those viewpoints. If he started from being moderately economic and socially Mormon, then he'd actually be moving to those positions now.

The weird, hideously expensive military buildup that conflicts completely with the moderate economic side? That would only fit this picture by moving it to the social/religious side--until someone can come up with something less crazy. Maybe he just owns a lot of military contractor stock.

I say Cheney first because I feel he was really the one who made the decisions. Bush just did not have the experience nor do I feel he really understood. Look at what has been said about Romney..all these extremists need is someone able to pick up a pen and sign.
