I saw similar things quite often when I lived amongst a high Mormon population. They take care of their own, but they'll turn on you in a heartbeat if you cross them.

All Mormons know that being a Mormon means toeing a whole bunch of lines. It's part of the package they believe in and living that life a big part of who they are. We're not exactly talking Unitarianism here. :)
I'm suspicious of how they found this guy, though. This very large church has an intelligence gathering office (not called that), and my guess would be some professional-level computer tracking. They're not stupid, and having their church mainstreamed via election of a Mormon president is an understandably very big deal.
And this guy's potentially queering their chances in swing-state Florida, of all places! Really, it could make the start of a good suspense movie with the hero being chased around the planet by people determined to silence him. We identify the assassins before the poor hero when we glimpse their underwear. :)
Whoops--conspiracy people, I'm joking here.
Lucky for us - we won't have

As long as they don't duck me against my will, they can baptize someone in proxy for me and every relative I have. I don't think that will help me or hurt me (but then I don't believe baptism to be essential anyway), so what is your point? Baptism in proxy for the dead is a religious belief I do not share. I can pretty sure bet I can find something in all religions that I disagree with.
Too funny. What exactly is magic - underwear? Is that what SM

Mormons call it or is that a joke? Is is underwear that has been blessed?
