Mitt Romney documentary on Netflix, wish

Too bad Mitt did show who he really was, although he did during the first debate.  Mitt was awesome and made Obama look like a fool.

Agree wholeheartedly. What a gracious man. - nm

The liberal media - Judy

[ In Reply To ..]
made it their goal to destroy Mitt Romney and get Obama re-elected. No wonder the good ones don't want to run for public office - whether you thought Sarah Palin deserved to be vice-president or not, she didn't deserve what the media did to her and her family.

The liberal media did not invent the 47% tape. They reported it. It's about taking personal - responsibility

[ In Reply To ..]
That was the real Mitt. He said the words. He is responsible for that and a really bad campaign.

Having said that, yeah, he seems like a nice guy, but not presidential material obviously.

"presidential material" - Mary

[ In Reply To ..]
Just what is "presidential material?" Someone who has never had to "lead" anything or anyone in his life???? We can see where that got us....
Presidential Material - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Community organizer turned senator for 10 minutes. And look where it got us. A president who lies and deceives about Obamacare, Benghazi, IRS scandals, Fast and Furious and whatever else we don't know about YET.
I thought the subject was Romney, but if you want to discuss - presidents
[ In Reply To ..]
We're lucky we still have a country after GW Bush had his go at it. Economic disaster, 2 useless illegal wars, 09/11, "could care less" where Bin Laden is.

Look where the former baseball team owner and Governor from Texas got us.
It is about Romney. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
It appears one on "your" side brought up "presidential material." We were responding to that. If you want to talk about GB or BO, open a new post, or look throughout this board to find references to the community organizer, senator for 10 minutes, dictator in chief, liar in chief, etc.

But Mitt is right about the 47% - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Mitt was telling it like it is, that 47% of the people in this country WANT to be on gov't assistance instead of going out and getting a job (or 2 like some of us!). They want to have their 5 kids by 5 different fathers and not get child support. They want to mooch off the gov't for as long as they can. The way I see it, if the shoe fits, wear it!
Like the elderly and the vets. They are included in the 47% - nm

My thanks goes to the person who is right - about the 47% being takers.
[ In Reply To ..]
Of course, the elderly and vets need help and support. They have earned it. It's the sector that has made a living off entitlements a way of life that needs to be revamped.
Some of those takers are the same few - happy with Obamacare.
[ In Reply To ..]
It's their way of life. That's all they know. That needs to change. Let's encourage going from welfare to work. I believe Mr. Romney would have made a good go at that.
What percentage might that be? If vets, elderly, children, and disabled are included - in the 47%?
[ In Reply To ..]
When Romney made that statement, he included that entire population in the 47%. Whether knowingly or not. That is how out of touch he was/is with the American people.

After excluding the vet, elderly, children, and disabled from the 47%, I wonder what the percentage is.

Yes, the liberal media spun the 47% thingy into what they wanted - Mrs. Tingles

[ In Reply To ..]
Nobody cares anymore about the 47%. The liberal side is trying to spin it into something it's not. All to cover up the scandals and problems going on in your own party.

While I think he had some good points during the campaign, I and others knew ahead of time the game was rigged and that he was not going to be chosen.

He does seem to be a really nice person. There is no obviously not presidential material. He's got Obama beat on that hands down. Just because someone isn't chosen to be the president doesn't mean they are not presidential material, it just means they were not chosen to fill the seat.

Nor does she deserve - sm

...what is still being said about her on MSNBC. Who can even think that disgustingly?

Thank you for the Netflix heads up. - Sounds interesting.

I am always looking for interesting political documentaries on Netflix! Full disclosure, I like Obama, ok, try not to downvote me! But I try to look at the other side too. I loved the Hating Breitbart documentary, and I found him to be likeable person, as much as I might disagree w/him. I tried the Sarah Palin documentaries on Netflix, because I think she is an intriguing character, if a bit scary to put her in as VP. But Palin docs were really boring puff pieces; was very disappointed.

I will check out this Romney one - thanks!!!

This was a boring puff piece too. I watched it last - night.

[ In Reply To ..]
I was looking forward to the inside reactions to the multiple issues that came up during the nomination and presidential race. They touched on the 47% video very little but not much else. The doc is more about the family and what they went through during the run. I was also curious to see more about the VP decision and interaction between Mitt and Ryan. Ryan makes a very short appearance in the film and basically just appears out of nowhere toward the end.

It's basically just a film to make Romney look more human, which it did. Behind the scenes he seemed much more relaxed, less awkward, and very down to earth. And it was very sweet to see how he and his wife and family are when they're together. Other than that, it was kinda a snoozefest. I don't give it a thumbs up or down... more of a "meh."

Oh darn. I might still check it out. - As the Breitbart one was a *little* puffy...

[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe puff-piece is not the right word, but least it was definitely sympathetic in his favor, and I was aware of that, but I still liked it/him.

So as long as the Romney one is not as bad as the Palin ones (which probably is not possible!) I might still enjoy it. I'll just not get my hopes up too high beforehand!

Poll: Americans Say We'd Be Better Off If Mitt Romney Won In 2012Jul 03, 2014
While Obama beat Romney by 4 percentage points, voters say a do-over in the 2012 election wouldn't be a bad thing. "Would Mitt (Romney) have been a better fit? More voters in hindsight say yes," Malloy said. Overall, 45 percent of voters say America would be better off if the White House went to the Republicans in 2012, compared to 38 percent who said we'd be worse off. And because it's World UFO Day, a 2012 survey indicated 65 percent of Americans think Barack Obama would be b ...

Mitt Romney's Answer To The Question About Automatic Weapons:Oct 18, 2012
In spite of Governor Romney's mistake in thinking automatic weapons are illegal in the U.S., I was more interested in a more rambling answer about single mothers.
