Judge Rules Fort Hood Jihadist

Posted: Aug 22, 2012

I have to admit, the judge's reasoning makes sense: "Forced shaving is not a novel concept in the military,’’ military attorneys said in the judge’s response filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. ‘‘Army regulations expressly authorize nonconsensual haircutting and face-shaving for recalcitrant incarcerated soldiers. … If the judge has authority to bind and gag a disruptive accused (soldier), then certainly he has authority to forcibly shave (Hasan).’’ http://weaselzippers.us/2012/08/22/judge-rules-he-can-have-fort-hood-jihadist-nidal-hasan-forcibly-shaved/;

so it is the normal practice to have them cleanly shaven before going on trial? I guess I don't know the particular military rules on this. I guess I don't get the uproar about the beard. Shaven or not, it doesn't change the fact that he murdered people.

Only mustaches - SK

The only facial hair allowed in the military is a regulation mustache. The rules are relaxed on deployments, but once they're ready to come stateside, bzzz, bzzz, bzzz, the razors come out.

Holder will probably sue them. Nothing - better to do, oh, except sue Gallup.

Fort Hood Hero Says President ObamaFeb 13, 2013
Three years after the White House arranged a hero's welcome at the State of the Union address for the Fort Hood police sergeant and her partner who stopped the deadly shooting there, Kimberly Munley says President Obama broke the promise he made to her that the victims would be well taken care of. "Betrayed is a good word," former Sgt. Munley told ABC News in a tearful interview to be broadcast tonight on "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline." "Not to the least little bit h ...

Fort Hood Heroes Finally Get RecognitionApr 10, 2015
Much to the dismay of the Muslim in the WH, the Fort Hood terrorist attack committed by a Muslim is finally acknowledged for what it was: A terrorist act, NOT workplace violence. (Can you even believe we ever had to hear the words 'workplace violence' in this situation?) And the heroes are FINALLY being acknowledged with Purple Hearts, again to the dismay of You Know Who! That, to me, is one of the most despicable acts I've seen in this WH. ...

Wife Of Fort Hood Victim Still Fighting BackOct 02, 2012
This is another thing I find unbelievably disgusting...these soldiers were wounded and killed by a fellow soldier who admittedly was in contact with Anwar al-Awlaki. Obama should be ashamed of himself for this lack of consideration for our boys. Remember how he treated the incident at a speech (read last paragraph).    On November 5, 2009, Staff Sgt. Shawn Manning was shot six times by Maj. Nidal Hasan while he was serving on-duty at Ft. Hood in Temple, Texas, in what becam ...

Judge Rules Out Health Care LawDec 13, 2010
This is good news.  Now if politicians could just make health care affordable for all.  I'd love the same rates as someone in Idaho or other states have.  Make health insurance competitive, they have to accept pre-existing conditions and nobody could ever be refused health care and I think that would be a great way for a new year.  But forcing people to buy a product they don't want is just not right and I'm glad this judge saw how unconstitutional it is. &nbs ...

Judge Rules Texas School Can Force Student To Wear RIFD Locator ChipJan 11, 2013
A public school district in Texas can require students to wear locator chips when they are on school property, a federal judge ruled on Tuesday in a case raising technology-driven privacy concerns among liberal and conservative groups alike.   US District Judge Orlando Garcia said the San Antonio Northside School District had the right to expel sophomore Andrea Hernandez, 15, from a magnet school at Jay High School, because she refused to wear the device, which is requi ...

I'm thinking of relocating from New England in the next 1-2 years.  My father and stepmother lived at Del Turra for over 20 years, and I visited every year and really liked the place.  My father predeceased my stepmother, and she left the house to her niece, so I was out of luck there.  Anyway, does anyone in the area know of over- 55 manufactured home developments they could recommend?  I'd even consider a condo if the price was right.  I don't want ...

Jobless Rate Looks Nice--until You Look Under The HoodOct 07, 2012
I hope this wasn’t posted before. If it was, sorry. I don’t like to duplicate other posts. Democrats seized on the Labor Department’s report Friday that the unemployment rate in September fell to 7.8 percent, dropping below 8 percent for the first time in 44 months. So surprising was the decline that it set off speculation among some conservatives about a cooked-booked October surprise. That’s not remotely likely as playing with the numbers to influence the election wou ...

Isn't Anyone Outraged Over The Ft. Hood Shooter Still Receiving His Salary?Aug 07, 2013
Who was the idiot who decided this was a workplace incident instead of terrorism? He's collecting $7,000 a month until he is found guilty, yet our wounded and dead get NOTHING, not even a medal for bravery. It's disgusting. I think he wants the death penalty so he can have his 72 virgins, but I don't think we should accomodate him. Let him rot in military prison. The government has spent four years and $5 million to guarantee Hasan is given an airtight trial that concludes with ...

Can you not see how they abuse their power yet? This is what I am sure they keep in their desks. Here is the complete list from Alinsky. * RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almo ...
