New Rules

So now that we have President Trump, we must all start being respectful and not call names, etc, etc. Where were all these rules during Obama's presidency?

that we should look at it as better late than never. It really was getting so over-the-top on here the last couple of months. I know everyone is very passionate in their beliefs, but I think it is better we try to discuss and try to understand the other person's viewpoint rather than just shut down and throw mud because we don't agree with it. The worst thing for this country is it becoming even more divided than it already is.

If you had said this even 6 months ago, I might have agreed with you. Now -- I just don't know.

I'm glad there are some rules. Nobody should be forced to read what we are being called or ridiculed, etc. Seems like the only ones unhappy will be the ones who like to insult and ridicule.
BTW - lots of messages against Obama were deleted.

Republicans only honor and support rules that benefit them...this is an age-old tenet.
Timing of what? - please explain

The timing of what? I agree with the other poster. Conservatives generally follow the rules. It is the liberals who seem to be upset about this.
Still though, timing of what?

The timing of enforcement of rules of this forum that already exist. It looks like the moderator has had enough and so is going to be strictly enforcing the rules of decorum that have always been here. I agree with this decision. As to the comment that it is the liberals who seem to be upset about this, I haven't seen any evidence of that here. Can you cite a post or posts that demonstrate this?

Now if politicians could just make health care affordable for all. I'd love the same rates as someone in Idaho or other states have. Make health insurance competitive, they have to accept pre-existing conditions and nobody could ever be refused health care and I think that would be a great way for a new year. But forcing people to buy a product they don't want is just not right and I'm glad this judge saw how unconstitutional it is.
