I remember the shut down the democrats caused. I remember the numerous suggestions the republicans have been trying to make to make health care affordable for us. I remember the elections where republicans were voted in to represent us and do the job we elected them to do.

I don't know what comments you are referring to us. My post was the first time I posted, so whatever was written was not written by me.

I don't know about people finally receiving decent healthcare. I have not heard that yet. The healthcare bill and people signing up has just been happening within the last month, so there have been no reports of anyone actually receiving healthcare. BTW, in case you didn't know this, health care was decent before this fiasco began. People were going to the ER and being treated whether or not they had health care and it has always been "decent". There is a difference between calling up and filling out a form to get health insurance and actually physically receiving health care from a doctor. Whether or not it is going to be decent is something we will have to wait on. Especially with the mass exodus of physicians leaving the field or not accepting the govt handouts.

Don't know what 47% you are talking about. I do know about the 1% under the democrats that won't be affected by this.

As for recent news, have you not heard there are now more people uninsured (including me as one of the latest victims) than there were before this all began. People had healthcare, now they don't.

As for the pope, I'm not catholic nor am I a socialist. It doesn't matter what he says. God is within me and He is always with me, and I let God guide my beliefs. America is not a catholic country so people should keep their religious beliefs to themselves or on the religion board.

I want to see especially how that mother with the little boy with leukemia who is 3 fares with having to travel to a hospital far from his home to receive the same treatments he was getting before - that is, IF he can even get it now. If I hear any stories of the people who have been cancelled, due to this "quality affordable care" that is being shoved down our collective throats, I'll report back. Seems the ones who have done the responsible thing all along and paid for their healthcare are the ones who are getting the Obamashaft in this one.

In my hometown where pretty much everyone I know is a democrat, they were all talking at the store saying, gee Obama thanks for the shut down, now my son can't buy food at the base for his family. A lot of people who voted democrat really understood what was going on. And that is why I have great hopes for at election time. the House did the government would shut down when he adjourned the Senate that Friday afternoon and instructed them to return Monday afternoon, while the House continued to work. Logistically, this action effectively ensured the shutdown. Even if the House had come up with a plan, there would have been no time for the House to send the plan to the Senate, then for the Senate to review it and return it to the House for finalization. Both parties at fault, can we at least say that?

I'm angry that the democrats had the shut down planned for a long time. I'm angry that the democrats would not work with the republicans for the good of the people. I watched what was going on. I didn't see Boehner snickering, but I did see fossil Harry snickering, telling other democrats when he thought the mike or camera wasn't on him. "you're going to mess this up for us". Sometimes I just can't help being around someone who does watch Fox News, and I have to hear what they are saying.

Reading many articles that democrats are losing voters (mostly over the disaster healthcare debacle). Republicans have a slight lead over democrats right now.

It's not a slam dunk like many liberals would like. I think what Harry and others have done do the party is really going to hurt them in the next election.

Still hopeful to see who the republican party will come up with and who the democrat party will come up with. I think if democrats want to win they have a lot of explaining and repairing to do.

I have read on this board of a few people who Obamacare HAS helped (and I'm truly glad of that) .. but am totally amazed at how easy it is for those people to dismiss the rest of us who live in a "red" state... and who lost our decent coverage and now basically have nothing! As long as they are covered well, it's "Great!" It matters not to them that we are screwed now if we get sick.

The subsidies will decline, taxes are going up on insurers significantly in the next few years (and guess where those costs will go?) I have only heard of people it helped online here. Every single person I know is now paying more for worse coverage, or less and basically no coverage.

I keep looking for those it helped ? Does the 0.5% it helped justify the rest of us it screwed? it is NOT GOOD QUALITY AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE for the majority.

Read an article yesterday - it has cost Hawaii $292,000+ for EACH person they signed up!

and for those of you covered - do you know who your participating doctors and hospitals are yet?

Nobody is dismissing the people from the red states. Your argument isn't with us. It's with the governors of your red states who hate Obama so much that they won't cooperate with the ACA, even if it means taking you all down along with them.

The governor of my blue state has fully complied, and yes, I get to keep my same doctor. My doctor even has navigators in his office to help people sign up. Same hospital too.

As far as not being good quality, what evidence do you have to prove that because my quality is just fine.
