75% of 0.48% of its 270,000 members = 0.36% of total SERMO members, numbers further dwarfed when compared to 10-15 million MDs who were not polled yea or nay on a travel ban. Here's the thing. In an online survey polling "concerns" about preparedness, MDs more likely to participate in such polls are....well, the ones who have concerns.

If they are so concerned about preparedness, why don't they make the 6000-mile leap, roll up their sleeves and start getting some hands-on experience in those quarantine bubble countries they so enthusiastically endorse? We sure as heck can see the HUGE difference between theoretical epidemic management and ebola treatment protocols on paper versus the real deal. We put ourselves out there as the most technologically advanced nation on the planet, yet when the pedal hits the metal, all we can think to do is run and hide from the first sign of a real-world challenge. Is that what GOP's much ballyhooed American exceptionalism is all about? Really?

Not mentioned in the previous post is the 10-15 million other docs in the world who didn't weigh in. If GOP thinks crowdsourcing epidemic management is the way to go, so be it, but my money's on the folks with a little infectious disease control experience under their belt. Thanks, but no thanks.

Well, nothing is working on my feet, ankles and legs. They are kind of down in the morning and whether or not I put my compression hose on or not, they balloon up in about 2-3 minutes. Almost any scheme that would impose a cost on Mexico for the wall is likely to have some cost to the American citizen as well.
