How much halloween candy do you give out

Do you give just one piece or do you give them a whole handful in their bags. I never know what to do each halloween. Not that we ever get any kids, but if they do come...

we live in a neighborhood with a ton of kids but we try to give 2-3 pieces. Usually I will buy the more expensive chocolates and then the less expensive like Dum-Dums lollipops that come with a ton so I will give them like 1 good and 1-2 lollipops

kmart has some on sale for 1.88 which is cheaper than - wally world ($2.59)

or the dollar store has a bunch! I loved giving kids candy when I had some, but I live out in the country now and kids just don't come :( There is nothing like seeing their eyes light up when you have a bowl of chocolate! When I did give out candy I had the chocolate and some cheap candy like suckers or something. So I would give them 1 bar and 1 sucker.

Most of the folks in our neighborhood are older and their kids are grown and gone. Every year, we get the same 2 minivans full of kids. I give each kid a huge handful of candy. This is a depressed area and we're in the nicer part of town so I suppose some people like to ship their kids up here thinking we're the rich people and will hand out hundred dollar bills or something. LOL. Down in the depressed areas, kids are lined up and down the street by the hundreds waiting to get candy.

Same problem as above, drop kids off in cars and vans. I used to let them grab their own but they do take too many, so now I hand them one packet at a time and some come back twice or three times and I pretend it's their first time. Some ask for something for the sick kids at home. I feel bad for them, and I have bought more this year $13 for 160 pieces at Wal-Mart, small bars but a few bags of these and some tootsie pops for the litte tikes. I am not rich by any means but if I can have one smile back, it's worth it. Now adults with no costumes, that kind of turns me off - that's scary, get a few of those! But I never say no.

Having 3 kids sleep over for Halloween, looking for something simple to make that is not too sweet. There's enough candy in the house, want to serve something simple but special that's not too hard to make. Having brain freeze! Well, nothing is working on my feet, ankles and legs. They are kind of down in the morning and whether or not I put my compression hose on or not, they balloon up in about 2-3 minutes. I finally got put on Lasix 20 mg for a month and then have to call him again. I don't think it is enough to get my legs down. I can't pee much and still have diarrhea. I have an antique seed drawer that I use as my kitchen island, and in the glass doors I have different pastas, beans, etc. It is beautiful. Almost any scheme that would impose a cost on Mexico for the wall is likely to have some cost to the American citizen as well.
