I love it---the Republican field has been coined

I suppose, as it should be at this point, they are feasting on one another.

Rand Paul doing it again--looking reasonable - questioning Iraq War

He believes he has to appeal to Democrats to get votes. He basically said this on - Rush. He's going to reach out

to this group and that group and bash the GOP. The media will love it, but in the end no Democrat will vote anyone with a R after their name. This is always the mistake that establishment Rep. make.

Pandering becomes evident by backpeddling. But sincere critical rethinking of party issues is a bad - Julia Sugarbaker

You bet your booty, Rand Paul panders; that is in his backpeddling and not bothering to explain it or acknowledge he's even conceded on initial points. He just pretends like he never said the opposite in the first place.

Having said that, do we really want to promote the idea that everyone who critiques issues from their own party can't be trusted?

I don't want to support the idea that people have to support every tenet of their party without critically thinking about them, lest we risk the accusations from the other party that we've become "brainwashed."

As I've said before, we're one of the only countries in the world with only 2 parties and I don't care for the pressure to have to choose or be thrown by others into one "either/or" box on every single issue.

This is why Repubs think we're all pro abortion - because they throw us all into one box. Let's not help them out by doing that ourselves, with ourselves or others.

Otherwise, I have some other things I need to focus on that came up yesterday. I may see you guys around debate time, so until then, keep your critical thinking caps on:)

I call them "19 Cons and Counting" - sm

In honor of that nice wholesome Christian Duggar family and them being so representative of the hypocrisy of the GOP and conservative "family values."

Truth :)

OMG, I am SO looking forward to their debates! - The movie will pale in comparison! ;D

Stock up on those red noses and rubber chickens!

I would vote for - Ru Paul

[ In Reply To ..]
before I would vote for Ron, Rand or any of these psycho has-beens for that matter. Hopefully they will all just "Sashay Away!"

Here, we're all going to need this, after each candidate speaks...:) - Julia Sugarbaker

It's the famous moderator's speech during the "academic decathlon", from the Adam Sandler movie, "Billy Madison" :)

https://youtu.be/LQCU36pkH7c

"Mr. (INSERT REPUB CANDIDATE NAME HERE), what you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

And we can turn it into a fun drinking game as well!

Any time someone says something stupid or uses the overplayed terms "executive branch overreach", "repeal," "amnesty", "Christian/family values", "religious freedom", "freedom of speech," "big government", "muslim" "socialism" or "clinton dynasty", say the above speech and do a shot (of espresso or Red Bull of course;)

Seeing Little Lights Left Visual FieldJan 18, 2015
Yesterday I started seeing what looks to me like a tiny string of blue Christmas lights in my left visual field.  It happens when I turn my head.  At first I noticed it when I was sitting in bed with a lamp on so I thought somehow it was a reflection off of my glasses.   It continued throughout the day.  Not constantly or anything but I experienced it maybe 10-15 times.  Then when I woke up this morning I noticed it again.  I have been up for about 4 hours now and h ...

Tea Party Republicans Love Love Love Ted CruzOct 18, 2013
even among Republicans, according to a survey from Pew Research. But the group is still potent within the Republican Party — which means that Sen. Ted Cruz gets a bit of good news on an otherwise bleak day. "Tea Party" is a necessarily vague affiliation. There are members of Tea Party groups, of course, but Pew largely had to allow poll respondents to self identify. And a lot of Republicans did so. About four-in-ten (41%) Republicans and Republican leaners agree with the Tea Pa ...

The Republican StrategyFeb 19, 2010
It takes awhile to make sense of the entrails of the Republican Party, partly because they are just so toxic, but also because it's actually difficult to comprehend that an American political party can so deliberately sabotage its own government and nation. But after observing their behavior and their policy of, "Just Say No" -- sometimes to their own suggestions, one can only surmise that they long ago left the business of governing and have instead agreed to a covert game plan of destruc ...

Romney certainly has a lot of that sharp and scintillating legendary Republican sense of humor. Here is the very funny story Romney told today in Wisconsin.
