I used to disagree with Carvel on many issues, but lately listening to him he is making more and more sense. He's one of the few democrats that will actually tell the truth whether its good or bad. Guess his wife finally knocked some sense into him. LOL Good article.

Even if you do not like Carvel, he is great entertainment. Sadly, his rhetoric is so over the top, when he does have a good point to make, a lot of the time it is lost. He was one of the few Democrats that predicted that they were going to get beat badly in 2010 and very few Democrats would pay attention.

I will give the poster the benefit of the doubt and guess that he/she meant Carville.

Sometimes it gets very difficult to decipher posts on this board. I just hope that the people who have used "Carvel" to mean "Carville" will see the error immediately (or at least guess what it is), and not try to put "Carvel" out of business.

It's a great piece, and I thank you for sharing it. I'm not sure what you think is so daring about reading it, though. Mr. Carville is a smart man; he is urging democrats NOT to get too comfortable about the election and not to take anything for granted.

I think you might be misinterpreting his message. He is not impugning Mr. Obama's candidacy. He is reminding us that this will be a difficult campaign, particularly given that "...Republicans are raising not millions, not tens of millions, but potentially hundreds of millions of dollars from the pollution industry as a result of Citizens United v. FEC."

I agree with you. It is going to be a difficult campaign. There is a lot I am not thrilled about with Romney, but less I am thrilled about with Obama. The difference is Obama we know what his track record is. Romney a little bit, but I'll be willing to make the change to get out from under the failing policies, continuing unemployment, continuation of jobs going overseas, continuing foreclosures and no "hope" for anyone. The country cannot afford another 4 years of the mess. And yes, he inherited a lot of it (not all, but a lot), but he has not done anything to make lives better for us.

After reading many articles about politics this is what I have come to realize (this is my opinion of course)

The parties are made so that people like us can come argue and hate. There is no difference between the candidates. We get bad #1 replaced with bad #2, yet placed with bad #3. I don't believe our votes count anymore from things I have seen in past elections. I think (again my opinion), that the people behind the scenes that rule the country choose who they want to be in. Makes no difference to them because they all do their bidding. But they will put 2 people in to let the country think they actually pick, when in all truth they still hire the guy they wanted anyway.

Wow, where to begin. Okay, first I think a bit of comedy would lighten the spirits a little. Your post is a little too dramatic for my taste.

1. Never said in my post I know what democrats "think". I wrote what democrats on this board "write". There is a difference. You see, if I said to you "wow it's a beautiful day out and the birds are singing and I've got a smile on my face" you would think she's a happy person". Doesn't take rocket science to figure that out. But even then, I never did say that I know what democrats think. Here let me even quote. You see, none of those statement leads to the conclusion that I know what democrats think - Thank God!

My decision is not to vote for someone with terrible policies. Did that once when I voted for Obama. But since Obama has failed I'm certainly not going to vote for failure. I certainly am not a fan of Romney, but I believe he does care about the people of the country more than Obama does. Sure Obama can be a smooth talker, but unfortunately he talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. He is a divider and he has done nothing to make our lives better. If anything many lives are worse because of his failed policies and decisions. Therefore I will vote for the man who I believe will be able to lead us out of the dark hole that Obama has left us in. If Obama had even tried, had even shown that he at least cares about the little people (middle income going on poor), if he didn't lie to us then I might think about him again, but since he doesn't and he doesn't care he doesn't get my vote.

You see that's what is happening throughout the country. People have woken up. People are tired of being conned. They are starting to inform themselves and research and get involved in politics. They are not sitting back doing nothing anymore. Sorry.

Oh yes, and I don't care if you think you don't need my credit. I gave credit where credit was due. I still give you credit for coming out and saying the words "it will be a difficult campaign". The knee jerk comments abound because Obama, O Holy One, is not doing too well and neither are his associated. commies.
