I just read a very sad article about

illegal immigrants who have perished in the desert trying to get into the US.  They said the numbers this month could reach an all time high of immigrant deaths due to heat.

Now...I am against illegal immigration but I find this very sad.  These people are so desperate to get out of Mexico that they are dying trying to come here.  President Calderon has the cajones to ridicule the US for AZ immigration bill and yet it is his government that is oppressing his people so much that they are risking their lives to come here illegally.  If I were a Mexican and had the good fortune to make it into the US and live legally, I would say good riddance to Mexico.  I understand taking pride in your heritage but you can do that and learn English and become an American.

I'm personally going to do my best to boycot anything from Mexico.  I refuse to set foot in that country.  President Calderon has no right to come to the US and tell us what we should and shouldn't do or lecture us about fairness.  Not only is Mexico not tolerant of illegals in their country but they treat their own citizens poorly.

We need immigration reform.  We need to secure our border to keep the drug cartel and terrorists out of the country.  We need to make it easier for immigrants to come here legally.  The more illegals that come to our country means less jobs for Americans as well as illegals getting taking advantage of by employers who would pay them very little for their work.

I Read An Article Last Night In Our Paper By Morton KondrackeJul 01, 2010
I usually don't read these articles, but found it interesting so this morning I decided to look him up on the 'net and spent the next hour reading some back commentaries (going all the way back to March) and on some, he was right on point. It's very interesting what he has written.  Some deal with health care, some with immigration reform, the VAT tax, financial reform, and others. I did find him pretty neutral in his statements, giving both sides of the argument. I must wa ...

Term Limits? Your Opinion? Read Article InsideJul 19, 2010
(CNN) -- Anti-establishment candidates are capitalizing on widespread anti-incumbent fervor and proposing term limits as a way to bring the power back to the people. As political hopefuls try to persuade voters to send them to Congress, they're also promising they won't be there long. Kentucky Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul said that if elected, he can't see himself serving more than two terms. In Rhode Island, Democratic congressional hopeful Bill Lynch has proposed a 12 ...

Just hearing and reading about this today. Thousands and thousands of Latinos are rushing to apply for citizenship here to vote against Trump. In Texas they have 750,000 who are eligible for citizenship, in Arizona the number is around 139,000. One lady who has been in the US for over 20 years is now applying for citizenship. Most say the cost of becoming a citizen has been their main drawback, that being $680.00 but now even the legal ones feel threatened by what Trump has spouted off about. Tr ...

interesting points.  The article is about the ban.  It seems to me that the president should continue, as both Bush and Obama did, on putting new and adventagious things in the vetting process.  We can always improve on things but an all-out ban to me is not adventagious. The video in this touches on a few other points.  Perhaps listen with an open mind and maybe you will see how this "fine tuned" machine is running. ...

No matter how much you hate him this is a good article.  Cut him down all you want but it won't change the truth. Here's a quote from the article: Mr. Bush said that "the role of government is not to create wealth, but to create the conditions that allow entrepreneurs and innovators to thrive." I wish it was someone else who has said this because a lot of people sole purpose is hating and cutting him down, which diminishes from the importance of the article.   http://www ...
