Politics is a hot topic. People need to develop a thick skin, unless you are personally being attacked or ridiculed. I've seen stuff on all sides, but people are expressing their feelings about events, issues, and parties and that is what this board is for.

I am not going to change the content of someones message because one side does not like what they have to say. If you have a political topic you want to talk about, talk about it. Nobody is stopping you. Just not with personal attacks.

Everyone has the right to discuss issues or their feelings about what is going on in the political world.

This board is not a place where people are always going to be nice to each other. Everyone has the right to bring up their feelings about issues.

It is not fair to posters for me to delete certain posts because it hurts some people's feelings, but leave up their comments about how how they feel towards the other parties. Everyone can discuss how they feel. Posters need to get a thick skin. This is a political board.

If a poster directly insults you the post will be edited/removed. If it is a poster giving their personal opinions about issues or events it stays. If you don't like it, just read it and move on. That goes for all sides, not just one.

I get her perfectly fine. Post whatever you want, just without attacks and ridicule towards specific posters. Think she has explained several times she's leaving messages up from different posters on all sides because they are posting their opinions about things going on.

What is it about that you don't get.

So what post are you referring to. You also didn't quote my whole phrase. I said "If you had a post removed, I'm sure it said more than just that."

Meaning she wouldn't just remove a post because it said something about a pigeon. She only removes posts when it says more than that (as in an insult).

As you can see, the post was commenting on how the MSM was not covering the Gosnell trial, to which the other poster stated that they must be getting their news via carrier pigeon and posted a (cute and funny) pic of 2 pigeons. She was joking about herself in order to make the point that the MSM most definitely was covering the trial.

I then started joking with her that pigeons were liberally leaning commies and therefore unreliable when it comes to reporting news, and since we were having fun and joking... at ourselves... it was promptly deleted.

Accusing her of anything else or not understanding the moderator without having the full story is kinda out of line... and would most likely be deemed as a "personal attack" if made by other posters here and deleted.

I deleted the post above hers. You need to look at where the insults start and that's what gets deleted. Not a post about pigeons. I explained that in a post and asked her to repost the pigeons and it will stay.

The post above my pigeon post was the one that said the MSM wasn't covering the trial.

Then the "I must be getting my news via pigeon" was next. You deleted that one. The one above is still there.

You told me the post was insulting. I emailed you back and asked how, and you never responded.

It's stupid and I can't believe we're going on about it, but it baffles me that you deleted that one and then tell us to "get a thick skin" when we complain about being called commies.

I have just read through over 97 posts that were deleted/edited. I am not finding any post regarding pigeons.

Honestly and truthfully I would not have deleted your message just because you said you get your news via pigeon. That is not a reason to delete posts. There have been a couple days that I have been up until 2 and 3 am reading through posts and maybe I accidentally deleted. If you wrote what you did I would have smiled at that and actually I think that is cute, but I do not even remember seeing a post with a picture of pigeons.

After reading back through almost 100 messages I cannot find the post talking about pigeons that was deleted. If you repost it will stay.

Like I said, it's stupid and it doesn't matter, and honestly I'm just feeling generally grumpy today, so I apologize for that. But it is frustrating to later to told to have a thick skin. And I'm tired of people coming to the board to only stir up trouble.

It's not stupid and it does matter. Your opinions and humor are what the board is for. If we can't post our opinions about issues then what is the board for.

Got to tell you I think this is way cute. I'm terribly sorry if I deleted it and if so it was purely by accident.

There have been so many personal insults, then I deleted them to come back the next day and find the same type of personal insults back on the board as though nothing had been deleted.

Then I spent another long night of reading all the posts again. So if I did delete yours my apologies, did not mean to at all and I honestly do not remember seeing this post.

I do make mistakes and sorry about the mixup.
