[ In Reply To ..]I am an Ohioan and I can tell you why Obama really won here. His campaign has been active for 2 years here and his staff ran a very professional, organized community-based program to get out the vote. Certainly if the Republicans learned anything, it is their party can no longer stand for old white men with archaic ideas and do nothing to include the young and minorities. Ohio has a large minority population and has increasingly been becoming more a liberal base. We have counties who forever have been red counties that are now blue. People have outgrown the old, biased, racist, backward ideas of the predecessor Repubs. The spirit of cooperation between the 2 parties would certainly be a welcome change for both parties and the only way we can progress. Choosing instead a "sour grapes" philosophy will leave you excluded. The younger population want change and it is coming whether you want it or not and change is good. Step aside.
Well... I live in Ohio, and this area overwhelmingly - voted for Romney.
