Fox News Lies about Violent Wisconsin Protess

Posted: Mar 2, 2011

Check out the background video running with the superimposed banner in the upper left corner (starts at 0:14 with another excellent view between 0:26 and 0:30) while Bill-O and Tobin weave that wicked web.   Those are some tall, towering palms they got there lining those snow-free boulevards.  Priceless.

Here is a video compilation of union protests throughout the country. See the Palm Trees from the Bay Area Patriots in Sacramento, CA.

I watched this interview and watched the video link you sent (sm) - anon

and never once did BO or Tobin ever say that the video that they were showing was in WI.

insipid response - you can't be serious

[ In Reply To ..]
oh, I get it. It's entertainment posing as news.

I agree. They are not talking about WI. - Yes - I am serious (see message)

[ In Reply To ..]
They are talking about protesters. Mike Tobin said "A lot are bused in from out of state" (which they are). He said "It's tough to tell. When you get to the weekends you get a lot of out of towners. A lot of people are bused in from not just Wisconsin but a lot of surrounding states. I talked to someone who is from California who is sleeping in the Capital throughout this process, so...." While he was talking about the people from out of state they were showing clips from protests from all over the country. There is no way to link those video clips he showed with Wisconsin, especially since he was talking about out of towners.

Anyone who wants to say Fox was lying is just a hater of Fox and doesn't care what the truth is.

Here is a verbatim transcript. You know what that means, huh? - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Ummm, Tobin was reporting from the Capitol IN MADISON WISCONSIN. That means that any reference to the Capitol would be to Wisconsin's Capitol and any reference to the governor would be the Wisconsin governor. Of note, it was just too much trouble and too time consuming for Tobin to give details about his claims...something any journalist with integrity would be prepared to do...back up his own claims.

B: ...to promote a far wider agenda. Can you break the crowd down? How many are professional left-wingers and how many are just regular folks.

T: It's tough to tell. When you get to the weekend, you get a lot of out-of-towners. A lot of people are bused in from NOT JUST WISCONSIN, but from a lot of surrounding states. I talked to someone who was from California who was sleeping in the capitol throughout this process, so you get a real mixed bag.

B: W-w-well, who brought them in? Who bused them in?

T: Some neighboring labor organizations have brought people in and, you know, it would take me a long time to explain each and every organization that has brought people in.

B: Okay, so unions in sympathy with other unions are hiring buses to come and bring the people in. Now, the governor, does he have control over the State Capitol now?

I don't know which I hate more...lies or denials. Guess I'll go with the lies, which when broadcast on national TV are against FCC regs and merit thorough investigation.

This tactic is classic Fox, who has BTDT and will continue to deliberately deceive just as long as they are getting their desired results. They have nothing to worry about on that score. Their most faithful demonstrate time after time their inability to distinguish fact from fiction and are predictably hostile when confronted with the truth.

How long does it take to transcribe 43 seconds? Proving this point was a piece of cake. The desperation would be on the part of those who are unable to deal with the facts that transcript revealed.
"will continue to deliberately deceive just as long as they are getting their - desired results....wow
[ In Reply To ..]
you have just described yourself. And boy are you frustrated that you are not getting the desired results. LOL.
Still cant come to terms with video and verbatim script, huh? - Take your time.
[ In Reply To ..]
You'll get there.
Still not getting your way and deflecting.... - and your message is still lost.
[ In Reply To ..]
give it up. You are an army of one. Well maybe three.
It takes some longer than others. - Then again
[ In Reply To ..]
some never really can quite get there. Refusal to address what is painfully obvious is really all the answer we need. Whatever the case, we understand.
Painful is exactly right....hurts when you - can't control the message
[ In Reply To ..]
and when you can't stop yourself from proving over and over to us that we did the right thing at the midterms. Please, do keep on. The more you do, the less we have to. ;)
Well, if you start with "lies" broadcast as - "truth"...better line them
[ In Reply To ..]
all up, with CBS leading, and CNN closely behind. Everybody knows that CBS put forged documents on the air that they knew were forged and called it the "truth." Which is why an investigation like you talk about will never see the light of day. NONE of the news outlets want to go down THAT road.

I did not see anything in your post that was a lie. He said he talked to someone from California who was sleeping in the capitol. Last time I looked, California was not in Madison, unless we have had a teutonic shift I didn't know about. Are you saying he was lying about talking to the guy from California? Do you have proof that absolutely no one in that crowd is from outside Madison? Seems to me like you are playing pretty fast and loose with the "truth" yourself there.

I will tell you what bothers me most...someone calling someone else a liar who supports that with their own less than honest words. Tell me...give me one good reason why I should believe you and not him. Just askin'.

He is definitely making the impression it is WI - Still a lie.

This video just totally cracked me up! Hey, I'm sitting in northern Wisconsin with 6 feet of snow in my yard. Do you suppose I could get some of those palm trees to put in my yard? Geez!!!

Check out the video at the top. - No palm trees there.

the nonviolent protest just went out the window. Lovely language too near the end...

Nothng gets out those windows. The governor bolted them down. - Remember?

No, there are no palm trees there AND no, they did not say that - location was WI

[ In Reply To ..]
Fox did not lie. They did not say the film footage was taken in WI. They were talking about the whole country. Why is it so hard for people to comprehend that?

Time to get over it.

Ah, yes. Things have really been heated in WI - Backwards Typist

[ In Reply To ..]
and it will only get worse. I think it was last week I talked about the one reporter and the guy that kept yelling Fox Lies. Well, I found it.

It was Jeff Lock (sp) from FBN; i.e.,Fox BUSINESS News, not from B O'R, or any on the regular Fox news channels.

Please watch but if you're like me and try not to throw up when Ed Shultz spews his hate and almost break your neck trying to get his face off your TV, please stop the video at minute 2:45.

Given the NRA's call to prosecute violent criminals to the fullest extent of the law, it's important to look at their history with respect to keeping guns out of violent hands. The NRA is a civil liberties organization, like the ACLU. It focuses not on protecting the public, but on the ri ...

G20 Protests Are Getting Violent. The Black Dressers Jul 06, 2017
calmed down for a while but came back with a vengence. Protests are varied but some are insane. This Is What I See Coming For WisconsinMar 17, 2011
I have copied and pasted something someone wrote that pretty much sums up Scott (slime) Walker's intentions.   Diane Ravitch has it in a nutshell. Of Scott Walker, she writes: He expects that over time, most public workers will stop paying dues, especially now that they have to pay more for their healthcare and pension benefits. And thus will he cripple, perhaps permanently, a perennial political opponent. If Gov. Walker succeeds, there will be no organized voice to oppose hi ...

I spent the last few hours reading it (I really hate legalese-LOL) then did a search on collective bargaining. I did see where they wanted to tie raises to the CPI but can't find it now. Anyway, the pages that I found CB in the search are: Pgs. 955-964, 998, 1045, 1061, 1312, 1332-1334. So, tell me where they are stripping collecitve bargaining from the unions.
