When I first saw this image on Facebook, I wasn't sure how on earth Fox News could have killed someone's mother. And then I read the message that went with the photo. Tracy Knauss posted it on his Facebook page along with a message which said in part:

I know this personally. FOX News killed my precious mother, Hallie. She watched FOX religiously. And when she fell ten days before she died, she refused to go to the doctor because, "I don't want Obamacare to get all of my information! she declared, recalling the warnings from FOX News "anchors." She was emphatic. She was not going to consort with the muslim enemy. As she made out her will she told her lawyer, "I don't want any of my money going to the Muslim Brotherhood!" And her last protestation dealt with "Obama's death panels." Mother died just days later. I hold FOX News responsible for my mother's death.

Hallie Jean Mayes Knauss Culpepper passed away on February 16, 2012. Ten days earlier, she had fallen, but as Knauss says, refused to see a doctor. Her obituary notes that she was a "lifelong, dyed-in-the-wool Republican" who at one time had also been a business owner (TECO Products, now Griffin Products).
And it seems, she got her news from Fox. It's not hard to understand where she got the idea that "Obamacare" had death panels. Just three days before Mrs. Culpepper's death, they were still calling them death panels. Republicans have been working hard (with the cooperation of some turncoat Democrats) to repeal that board, which is really the last best hope we have for keeping Medicare out of the crosshairs of budget hawks.

Another attempt by the weak minded to blame someone else for their mistake.

Hey my mom watched Oprah religiously never missed a show. She'd call me telling me that Oprah and her "doctor" guests told her God was punishing her because her daughter (my younger sister) died. Every time she'd come up with some stress and heartache she would call me crying because she thought it was true because Oprah and her so called "doctor" guests said it was. When my mom developed anxiety and panic attacks and fell into a depression do you think we blamed Oprah and her guests. No, we didn't. There is a thing called personal responsibility. Blaming the news station you hate and want shut down for this or that is just crazy and whoever tries that is in need of a good counselor.

And you know what, we've heard this story before quite a few times. Fox news is responsible for my husband killing his son, or Fox is responsible for someone setting fire to this or that. Whenever something bad happens instead of people taking responsibility for their actions its so easy to blame others.

If this person cared enough about her mother she should have convinced her to seek medical attention when she got it. And you know what. Fox never promoted what this girl is saying they did. "I hold FOX News responsible for my mother's death". Just who exactly Shep, Greta? I do hope she gets a good counselor who can help her through her troubles. Not only to help her get through the grieving of her mother's death, but also through the delusional ideations that it's some news agencies fault.

Responsibility people. If I said MSNBC is responsible for my cousins suicide because they said anyone conservative shouldn't be alive you'd roll your eyes just like I did at this faux report.

Okay, flame away...I'm waiting for the usual stalkers to come after me like they always do. Anyway...I stand by my words.

Sounds like the whole family is mentally ill. If the daughter was so convinced her mother was watching too much Fox, try cancelling the cable. Some people will go to any lengths to abdicate their responsibility.

Did none of them have any common sense? Speaking of getting real, what was wrong with her family? If she was that bad, where were they? Who was looking out for her? Who was taking care of her? Do you have any proof she was mentally deficient besides these outrageous Facebook comments? What's wrong with the daughter if her mother was in such dire need? Sounds like the whole kit and kaboodle are looking for someone to blame...same old story.

as someone suing a cigarette company because their loved one smoked and died of emphysema or lung cancer. The lady made a decision. End of story. I understand the desire to want to blame someone when your parent dies. I blamed my dad's doctor when he died. I felt he didn't do enough for him during his regular checkups, etc. It is natural to want to get angry and blame someone else when we are grieving the loss of a loved one. Was my dad's doctor to blame? Not really. I still feel he could have done more, but my dad wouldn't quit smoking and he died of emphysema. Regardless of what his doctor did, my dad still would have eventually died from emphysema. That was his choice. He wouldn't quit. This elderly lady made a choice.

I just read the healines that Russel Means passed away. I cannot tell you how sad that makes me. DH and I kept up with his progress when he was sick. We prayed for his well being. Has anyone ever noticed that sometimes elderly people want a dog, cat or bird after a loved one dies? This happened with my MIL. I just found out this morning and feel so bad for her. Theresa was put in a nursing home with hardly any support at all.
