Americans vote for the candidate that will best represent them and Reps still. - fall short
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not sure what reason you are alluding to (please share!), but I do know that many people vote based on their lives in relation to the actions and words of politicians and candidates.
We saw how cutting voting hours worked out for the Reps in 2012.
We saw how all the sexist remarks worked for the Reps.
I don't see how Reps are really building bridges to the voters they need. And speaking of bridges, the Reps further engrained in the minds of Americans that they could care less about citizen Joe sitting on a bridge. The Republican politics is all they care about at the expense of citizens. That's big. Forget Christie, this **is** the GOP Brand. And it's going to get bigger. All Republicans will suffer.
If the ACA Website problems is what the reps are banking on, that's legitimate reasoning, but I don't think they should put all their eggs in that basket. ACA has lots of time for improvement and good spin by then. I know the Dems will be working overtime to improve their image re the ACA, but I still don't see the Reps trying to improve their image in the eyes of minorities, women, and just plain working people.
One question: - Are you

Come election time people are going to remember the truth. They are going to remember that republicans tried working with democrats to resolve the issues, but Ds wouldn't budge. They are going to remember Harry talking about how sick children are not important or telling someone "shut up you're going to ruin it for us" and other mean-spirited things. Most people don't know Cruz or other individual politicians are. Here's proof - just watch this video (it's short).

We were on a discussion below about asleep dreams, and it fizzled out. I myself am very interested in dreams.
It's pretty well established (though not proven) that all people dream during sleep, but not all people remember their dreams. I guess there is some debate about if all people dream, because a large number of people don't remember their dreams, even if a "dream state" is proven during a sleep study showing REM (rapid eye movement, the supposed dream state.)
