visit with neurosurgeon

Well yesterday I ended back up in the ER. My entire spine is numb. They did MRis and I went to see the neurosurgeon. He says it is not my neck and says I have a "central nervous system disorder" and wants me to go back to the neurologist because I have bilateral trigeminal neuralgia. I am so sick of being tossed around I don't know what to do. Please pray that the previous neuro will see me again. I cannot take any more. Thank you.

Yes. I have 2 viruses, but no Lyme.

Has anyone investigated whether or not your known viral infections have anything to do with your spinal problem? And do you have an actual diagnosis, like transverse myelitis, for your condition?

Have you had a rheumatology consult at all?

Have you checked with any chiropractors or other alternative health providers? I find sometimes, since they are "out of the box" chiros and other AHP's can be more willing to explore other possibilities/explanations and will spend more time working with a patient to find the root cause of an issue.

yes I believe I do have transversre myelitis right now although just one leg is completely numb. My MRI did not show lesions. They have said if my viruses compressed my spine I would have encephalopathy by now plus I have no fever. Once again when I look at MS it can be caused by a virus as it is autoimmune. I am so scared I will never walk again, am close to that now and so young to be using a walker. Am seeing my previous neuro again. The other one doesn't know what is wrong with me. However, none of them ever did a spinal tap on me.

So, I'm one of those people generally don't go to the doctor unless they are spurting blood across the room, but... This summer I am hopefully going to have some little girls come and visit, sisters, one 9 and one 11. I hope they will be visiting for about 20+ days. This morning I had to go to the emergency room for a dental infection. I went to the dentist a few weeks ago and they gave me antibioitcs. Stopped the antibiotics a couple weeks ago.
