IUD versus Tubal

Hi, Wondering if anyone has had a tubal, more specifically the Essure tubal. Pros and cons? And anyone have any difficulties with long term side effects? I am considering having this done, and my doctor is pushing the Essure method which after reading the long term side effects is really making me reconsider my decision to go through with it.
