Read this article - I'm not sure why your post belongs on the games board. The Lenten observance is not a game.

It is NOT meant to be a game. I understand what Lent is. What other board does it belong? - Faith Board maybe?

The Faith Board might be a better idea, the response might be better and you might be taken seriously. It's really a personal thing, people may not be comfortable sharing. So, when Lent is over, are you going to start drinking coffee again? I wasn't trying to give you a religious lesson, but another perspective on the subject.

I didn't take offense to your post at all. Religion is like politics, one post could be taken out of context so it's always iffy to post it. I may or may not go back to coffee after Lent is over. I do know that I'm not shaky anymore and haven't had a migraine so that might be a sign. I already gave up all other bad influences in my life so coffee was my one thing I still had left.

I'm a traditional Catholic. We observe the Lenten season as practiced for a long time: reflection, small denials to ourselves, fast, etc.

There are 2 books I read during Lent-- even good-willed Protestants would appreciate them.

Yes, this belongs on the Faith forum. (I certainly hope OP doesn't think Lent is a game....)

I did not mean for my OP to insult or upset anyone. I know Lent is certainly not a game and did not imply it to be such. After I posted it, I thought maybe it belonged on the Faith board. I don't want this to turn into something bigger than it is. Lent is important to me and my Faith and I just wanted to see if anyone else still observes it.
