Hey ladies - I have a new website that is a great help in saving money while using coupons. It is called thegrocerygame.com. It does cost a nominal fee after the first month, but I have found it so worth it. I think it is about a dollar a week plus the cost of buying your newspapers weekly to get the coupons. It really works good for you though.

I had never used coupons until I was at my sister's last week and she had a closet full of stuff that she was stocking up on because she was getting great deals by using the website. The woman who runs the website does all the research for you once you choose what stores you shop at and tells you when to buy certain things.

I only had coupons for my first week and I managed to save over $50 last week (and I only bought things we use anyway ).

Just for instance this week I have coupons for glade air freshener candles in the newspaper. I usually pay $2.50 to 3.00 for the refill candles but because she told me that they are on sale at ingles this week and I have a coupon I will get 2 packs of them for $2.28. Last week, I got my crest toothpaste for 75 cents a tube and my jergens large lotion bottles for 4.00 --- and this week because I got more coupons out of the paper today and they are on sale I will get 2 more bottles at kmart for $3.50 each. The key is to stock up when everything is on sale and then when it is not on sale you wont have to buy it. I also got steamfresh vegetables packs from the freezer for 50 cents a piece. there are also many times when you actually get things for free by using a coupon when it is on sale.

Go to swinging deals and find your grocery store, drug store, or big box store that you like to shop at. There is a lot of help on that site!

Also check out ebay for coupons that you need. Search the name of the product with the word coupons. They sell them in packs of 5, 10, 15 and 20. If something is on sale and has a coupon you can buy several of them and stock up. :-)

I know the sites for printing coupons are free, but this lady does your research for you and tells you when to buy the hot items to get the best price. It averages out to less than a dollar a week and it is wonderful to be able to just click on the items you want to buy and have a list print out for you without having to do the research for the best sales yourself.

Just some examples again are this week I am giong to be getting birds eye steamed vegetables for free, jergens lotion for 1.99 a bottle, progresso soup for 25 cents a can, idaho instant potatos for 20 cents a pack, rayovac batteries for 75 cents a pack, and the list goes on and on...

I just have to tell somebody this - I joined a coupon club online a couple of weeks ago and posted about it and what great deals I was getting, but today is the best... Just wondering what each person is doing now to save money? I personally am still spending every penny I earn at the moment trying to pay bills - but, I have more to pay because I am clipping coupons and using them when things are on sale at a really cheap deal... We have also started recycling plastic, paper, and cardboard as we pay by the pound to dispose of our garbage and recycleables are free if you separate them out yourself. Any more ideas? ...

After reading posts about extreme couponing, i'm interested. I've never bothered using coupons because I figured I would just use them to buy things I do not actully use nor need, just to save money. I know you get them in newspapers, but you have to spend money for those. Where are the free ones? I get ads in the mail, but only price listings. Isn't it wonderful that they are systematically going through the states that increased minimum wage so that the MT companies can continue to employ MTs in those states for slave wages. Even when it's not the lack of it, but more the equality in spending it.
