horrible story out of CA....

I just had to post this because it is an outrage really. Most of you probably have seen this on the news, but I just stumbled upon it on my phone while I was waiting for my kid's doctor today. A 15yo GANG raped by a group of people outside of a high school dance in Richmond, CA while up to 20 people just watched and many from the group participated in the beating and rape of this little girl. THEY JUST STOOD THERE? I mean are these children that we are raising? I mean with the fights some put on YouTube and the bulling at school that drives some to suicide... really... I mean I am just shocked. I am a 25-year-old woman who got done with high school in 2002 and I don't remember any of that happening at all! I mean there was the depression and the crazy teenage hormones! I now have 3 children of my own and I hope this starts to get better because this is just heartbreaking and down right ridiculous!!!! I pray that little girl gets the help that she needs and those people pay for their crimes! I don't care what any teenager will say, 15 is a still a child! The bullying in schools here is unbelievable, and still never heard of that horrible violence here! Bigger cities' schools must be like a war zone for our kids. I pulled my son out of school in 8th grade (2 years ago) because of bullying and we homeschool him. I've had people tell me I needed to just make him 'toughen up and take it' and return to school. At what cost? There was a child not long ago in Florida who had some of his peers pour rubbing alcohol on him and SET HIM ON FIRE because they did not like him. It's becoming an everyday thing to hear these awful reports, and I feel so bad for any family with kids in public school. Most families simply have no choice but to send them to school, and they should be able to do that without having to worry about their child's safety each day, and we for sure should not have to pull our kids out of school because of the danger! I don't know what the whole solution is, but it starts with consistent discipline at home for these bullies, and WAY before they get to middle/high school.

I am so sick of TV news first thing and everyday, yes daily about some jerk trying to kidnap some child on the way to school, they need to have police patrol at the schools as they walk to school very very early, it is dark. They will RUN after the child to get them in the car. Just on TV here in Southern, Ca. yesterday. I swear it just makes me sooooo pissed. Just absolutely no conscious, NONE. Call me paranoid, but I don't allow my child to ride the bus or walk. I pick her up and drop her off in front of the school every day and watch her go inside. I don't let her ride her bike unless one of us adults is with her. The kids don't play in the yard unsupervised. They don't wait in the car while I use the ATM. We have video monitors in their bedrooms, even the 11-year-old. I think all sex offenders and pedophiles need life sentences and if they also murder then they need automatic death penalt. A woman was just sentenced to jail in Florida for shooting the man who bragged about sexually assaulting (repeatedly) her disabled daughter. SHE went to jail! It's an outrage. As far as I'm concerned she did society a favor doing what the court system wouldn't do. They would have slapped him on the wrist and sent him back out on the streets to rape another little girl and possibly worse. I would do the same thing as that woman and would be more than happy to do time, except the one who would suffer most would be my kid. And if it were my son who participated in rape I would totally kick his ass from here to China and turn him in to the police myself. It just keeps getting worse and we parents have to be more and more paranoid for our children's safety. It's sad.

Something has to be done. If you want an interesting read you should do searches about people walking around without a soul. I did a google search on the term spiritless people and a bunch of interesting links game up. I do believe there are people on this planet who do not have a soul (or spirit) and they do such evil things. Just was interesting you wrote what we were thinking.

They feel it's there own fault. There was another story a few weeks ago about a rape, where several men were involved, involving several very young girls. The details were so graphic I won't state them here, but one comment printed, pertaining to an 11 year old, was that she was a child and was not responsible. The insinuation was that the 14 year old girl was responsible, since the group of so called men inticed her with drugs and alcohol.

I have never been raped, but if I were to be, I would never report it.

I had insurance through my MT job but never filed a claim as I am relatively healthy and never met the deductible.
