I found out about a year ago that I'm in full-blown menopause. I have all the characteristic issues that go along with it. All of my life I've had to watch what I eat and try to exercise regularly (but that isn't going nearly as well as it should be right now). Some days I just have no motivation whatsoever. I had a total thyroidectomy 2 weeks ago. Started levothyroxine 112 mcg the day after. I've gained over 20 pounds already! I seee the endocrinologist next week and am hoping that adjusting the dose of levothyroxine can make a difference. If not, it will require starvation mode to keep the weight off.
