With his health care holy war, President Obama is sending America at least 10 messages since taking office:

1. I win; you lose.
2. My will; not the will of the people.
3. Government of Obama, by Obama, for Obama; not government of the people, by the people, for the people.
4. Corrupt House rules and autocracy; not play by the rules and democracy.
5. “I’ll tread on you” now steps on “Don’t tread on me.”
6. “I, the president”; not “We, the People.”
7. “All men are created equal” but I am more equal than others.
8. “The dissent of the president” overrules “the consent of the governed.”
9. “Give me tyranny and give me debt” replaces “Give me liberty or give me death.”
10. “That government is best which governs most” supersedes “That government is best which governs least.”

There is absolutely no difference.

He is not trying to dig us out. He is following what his handlers tell him to do. Obama has no say in what happens. He just does what he is told to.

Same with Bush. You seem to want to hate him and blame him for all the problems, but he is not the one who made the decisions. His handlers did.

You really need to do some research on this.

It would do those some good to educate themselves on the goings on in politics and who is running things and making decisions.

No matter who is in office, Democrat Republican, Independent, or Bugs Bunny, the people pulling all the strings in the U.S. are the likes of B of A, Texaco, Wells Fargo, Dean Witter, Walmart, McDonald's, Disney, Chevron, AT&T, Hewlett Packard, Morgan Stanley, Time Warner, etc. They're all outta control, and no individual (such as a US President) is likely to be able to stop them now.

I wish you would learn what this really means. It isn't just about democrats winning. There are so many consequences to this disastrous bill they just passed. Although I understand it has to go through another vote before it's approved (unsure of the exact technicalities).

Certainly not a "glorious" day for American unless of course all you care about is the "we won, you lost, nanny nanny boo boo" attitude.

I really wish so many people would put politics aside and read the bill, listen to economists, treasurers, finance experts, and other people who have studied this and knows what devastation this bill will create on our country's economy. It's not just about giving a few more people insurance or those nasty rich republicans trying take away insurance from us poor little people. There is so much more to it than that. If people don't understand the consequences of what this disastrous bill will do to our country, and all they care about is the government taking care of you from diaper to casket, telling you what insurance you will have, how much coverage you will have, what prescriptions you can have, what procedures you can have and can't have (and what age you are will determine a large part of that). I just don't understand why those who think like that are not more concerned. We've seen it happen in other countries and we've heard those other countries saying...don't do it. Why don't people listen to the ones who know from experience. Particularly if I'm going to have surgery I want a doctor who knows what they are doing, not someone who has never practiced medicine in his/her life, but they say they really care about me so please "just let me do your surgery. I really care about what happens to you. Just trust me".

All America can hope for now is a repeal (or at least repeal of certain portions of it).
