Halloween TV

I was just going through the tv listings looking for things this week that me and my kids can watch together. I am a sucker for holiday tv around Halloween and Christmas time. I can watch the same thing year after year and never get tired and this has been for almost 30 years of my life that I can remember! Anyways, this year I am totally disappointed with the lineup. The ABC family channel has their 13 Nights of Halloween but they are playing movies like The Goonies and on Halloween a whole day of Batman. So that was kind of a copout. The only other thing I know of is the Nickelodeon closer to Halloween.... but does anyone remember like when they would play The Simpsons Treehouse marathon or all kinds of movies like Beetlejuice and cute cartoon movies... even It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown... So what happened??? Maybe the ratings for holiday shows are too low? I miss the good ole' days!

Unfortunately I didn't get to see it becuase we were visiting my daughter's college. Hocus Pocus is my perennial Halloween favorite! That and Casper. I haven't seen that one in the listings yet. I hope they play Hocus Pocus again.

Here's a little Halloween trivia I heard in an interview...Actually about the movie "Halloween". The mask that the character Michael Myers wears. Does anyone know whose face it really is. I never realized this until I saw him interviewed. It's.....William Shatner. stays on and doesn't sweat off after a night of dancing and partying? (My face will be painted like a skull). The costume store paint is greasy and smears off easily. Right now I'm experimenting with white eyeliner (the stick kind you use on the lower lid water line) and so far, it stays on, but isn't as opaque as I'd like. Having 3 kids sleep over for Halloween, looking for something simple to make that is not too sweet. There's enough candy in the house, want to serve something simple but special that's not too hard to make. Having brain freeze! Looking forward to a fun, safe Halloween with movies, games and letting them pass out the candy after they go around a bit.
