Happy coffee lover

I finally found the perfect coffee maker! Since there's only me, and I only drink one large mug of coffee day, there's no point in making a whole pot of coffee. I've never liked the single-cup makers with the proprietary pods, since you never really know how fresh the coffee is, besides being expensive. Then I found the perfect maker - a Hamilton Beach Scoop. It lets you use your own coffee, and requires no filters. It lets you choose between 8 oz or 14 oz cups, and also choose regular strength or "bold." I like flavored coffee, so a 14 oz mug on the bold setting is perfect! Life is good! ;
Thanks for posting. I don't drink coffee, but - it sounds like it would be

Un-Jesus Like Wealth LoverMay 02, 2016This is now on the political board for the that person who made my MT post out to be political. What programs need to be cut so you can keep your tax money? Are you going to give your Medicare care and social security check back when you get them because it is a government handout? When these large corporations that let companies go bankrupt leaving thousands without jobs and need assistance until they can find work, should they not be able to take care of their family by recei ...
Coffee - Help, AnaPSep 19, 2011Got it - sipping my first cuppa cappy. Works great, great foam, squirt of chocolate syrup, but nowhere can I find the amount of grounds to use (filling water to second line). My first cup was ungodly weak so I tossed it. This is better but still weaker than I liike. How much grounds should I use? ...
Coffee Craving!Dec 02, 2009This is the halfway point in my workday. I usually head to a local coffee shop for my fix. My favorite this season is the pumpkin spice. So delish! I also like the creme brulee, but it's so sweet. I hope there's something new on the menu today! I'm going to get a muffin too.
I'm having a fairly productive day and I'm going to toast to my co-workers in MT-land and wish you to have a good afternoon also! Salute! ...

Coffee MachineFeb 20, 2011Wondering if anyone can recommend a good (but affordable) one-touch cappucino and latte machine, one that uses coffee beans, not one that you have to use pods with.

How Much Coffee Do You Drink A Day?Jan 23, 2014Just curious to know how much coffee you are all drinking per day. I have an espresso machine and I make 2 large lattes a day, both with about 4 shots of espresso each. I will also have one cup of regular coffee in the late afternoon just to get my through my mind numbing job. I'm wondering if I'm drinking too much?!!? ...

WOW.
My husband helped me figure out to set up the pot and it's just beyond amazing. The espresso is excellent. No diss to Starbucks, but THIS is espresso. It seriously takes 4 minutes with the 2-cup model I purchased to have the perfect cappy right in front of you. I'm still in awe at how the espresso brews from the bottom up through the fillter into the milk, heating it all to a perfect temperature.&nb ...

Brown Teeth From CoffeeMar 19, 2012I saw how may coffee lovers we have on this board below, and I am certainly one of them, but I just can't stand how brown my teeth turn when I drink it. Any tips to keep this from happening? I brush twice a day, and I even gave up tea and coffee for a couple of months and my teeth turned back to white. I want to go for some interviews outside the house and don't want to be afraid of my smile. Dental treatments seem kind of pricey, but may go that route or else have to give up coffe ...
A Healthier Choice For CoffeeSep 15, 2010I have provided Transcription equipment to transcription companies and transcriptionists for 9 years and I have know that many transcriptionists have to have coffee to survive. i came across an amazing new healthier coffee. That gives you a natural boost without the crash and jitters. IT also good for those who suffer from Acid reflux.
If you would like some more information let me know. I love the coffee and how it has really helped my family with different health issues

Keurig Coffee MakerJun 13, 2010Had company a few weeks ago and they bought a Keurig coffee maker for us along with a variety of coffe "pods".
So far, I have not found a coffee we like as much as Folger's 100% Columbian medium dark roast. All the ones we tried seem either too strong too acidic. Looking for suggestions on which coffee to try.
Not sure I would have purchased one of these "gadgets" as it is pricey and the "pods" are pricey, but it is nice for that first cup in the a.m. and even a late afternoon ...

Coffee Breaks Without Losing ProductivityOct 22, 2009Thought I'd share -- I finally found a way to get a fresh cup of coffee in under 2 minutes (fingers not typing=no money)... I found a great website that delivers single serve coffee makers & machines. The machine brews in about 45 seconds, so I'm back at it faster. What's even better, my 10-year-old can now make me a cup because it's so easy to use. My 6 a.m. shift is a little easier now :)

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee CakeApr 01, 2012I just made the most scrumptious blueberry sour cream coffee cake. It was so moist and sweet, but not too sweet. DH told me it tasted like something we used to get in Germany. So I wanted to pass on the recipe if anyone is interested. I can't wait til later to have another piece. The recipe said to use a mixer, but I creamed the butter and sugar with a fork (my mixer is packed away), then I used a wire whisk to mix the rest. I also used a bundt pan, but am sure it could be made in ano ...

Coffee Mugs, Good MugsJun 19, 2015I just had a question about good coffee mugs. Is there a maker in the US that guarantees no lead in their products? Might sound like a silly question, but I want to know if any of you just buy certain brands or does not matter.
Thank you for sincere replies!

HAPPY DAY!Mar 27, 2011I love to cook! Always have. Since I was young I have collected family recipes, changed them around (or not) and have honed my skills to the point where I have earned the title of "family cook". I can do it all! I even make homemade cakes and decorate them for family gatherings. I have index cards, ringed binders and tons and tons of recipes on random pieces of paper put away in boxes.
A couple of Christmases ago I decided that since times are tough and gifts for o ...
Happy St. Pat's Day!!Mar 17, 2012Going to be 80 degrees today - our average on St Pats is 49 and record high from 1966 is 72 degrees - love it when we beat the record highs but kind of wishing I had bought burgers and hot dogs for dinner instead of corned beef and cabbage - maybe we will eat it outside can't say I have ever had corned beef and cabbage outside. ...
I Was So Happy To See This!Apr 21, 2011This story is one illustrates why government-controlled health care can be a dangerous thing. The doctors and the government took choice away from these parents and basically said "sorry, your child is just going to die, no tracheotomy for him." Religious organization from the US stepped in, brought him down here, US docs did the trach, and now he can spent his last days comfortably at home with his parents.
One can only hope that never happens here. ...
Anyone Happy?Aug 03, 2010I am still in school, and it seems like everyone on the boards is miserable and there's no future for MT. Not very much to keep anyone motivated in school. I still have about 6-9 months left. Is anyone happy, or at least content in their job? I am a future WAHM, mother of two sons, ages 7 and 2. I used to work in social services, and thought I'd do this for a while. Please give me some hope! ...
