Am I completely insane or does anyone else feel

as if I had a chance! I'm trying to be "happy, optimistic" for the new, best couple in the world, but a large part of me just shrinks when I see the recurrent promise of wedding pictures, of which there seem to be none really, each time you do the 'click on'... it's not like I'm wishing ill will, but more just like...well, I guess a defeated resolve sweeps over me as another one gets away...preceded by Matt, Denzel, Brad, etc. (order not chronological).

and I hope it was Woody and not Shakespeare for example, who uttered this pithy sentiment, at the risk of ignorance and also attributing something undeserved to someone whose character has revealed itself to be likely undeserving...ALLEGEDLY.

The real thing: A regular guy who's hard-working, kind, and best of all - not tabloid fodder, is a far better and more achievable goal, romance-wise.

You should not feel a "defeated resolve" or "happy, optimistic" for these people because you do not know them and they don't know you. What they do in their lives, frankly, has absolutely nothing to do with you.

You are developing imaginary relationships with false images created by publicity companies.

There are better outlets for your attention, like volunteer work with the less fortunate. Do something for humanity.

Seriously, I know what the OP means. It's not a *serious* disappointment. It's like if you saw a really wonderful house and imagined what it would be like to live there, and the next time you drove by it had burned down. Just the loss of a wisp of fantasy that makes life more pleasant.

I get the feeling that ol' George probably expects things to remain exactly as they are now, in their first year. I don't think he'll take kindly to any unforeseen 'changes' that may occur. We'll see...!

He married me, his first marriage, at the age of 49, almost 50. I believe GC is 53 so not that much difference. Hubs and I soon will celebrate 15 years together.
