CNBC vote: Who won the debate.

Posted: Oct 29, 2015

Donald Trump 48.23% Ted Cruz 19.03% Marco Rubio 13.95% Ben Carson 4.66% John Kasich 3.44% Rand Paul 3.2% Carly Fiorina 3.05% Chris Christie 2.61% Jeb Bush 1.16% Mike Huckabee;

They forgot one, LAMESTREAM MEDIA - 0%. I think they beat Megyn

[ In Reply To ..]
Kelly with their stupid questions.

It would be great to have an actual conservative - ask questions in a Democrat debate,

[ In Reply To ..]
wouldn't it? They couldn't handle it.

NBC (nothing but communists) and CNN (Clinton news network) would never agree anyway.

The lame stream MSM is going to find out quickly - how irrelevant they have become.

[ In Reply To ..]
People go to alternatives means for info now.

I watched every moment and here's what I think - My opinion

[ In Reply To ..]
The candidates did a lot of interrupting and could have taken that opportunity to say something of substance, but what came out of their mouths was pure silliness.

They could have done better with what they had to work with, but they didn't. I was looking for someone I could consider voting for, but I didn't find it in that bunch. Their lack of answers to serious problems is scary for our nation, which I love. We can do better.

I don't trust their polls when they can't even stage - an unbiased debate.

Yes... actually both sides are slamming the network - for the horrible moderators and bias

[ In Reply To ..]
It really was embarrassing for the media... and so snarky. They should be so ashamed of how nasty and disrespectful and off topic they were with the candidates. Perfect example of how the media is so biased in favor of the Dems, and basically how ignorant they are...

Yes, a tiger is a tiger and the press is liberal. - If we want a real debate, we

[ In Reply To ..]
need a real moderator to draft questions and not a wing of the Democrat party (the media) who just make it look like a series of hostile multiplayer press conferences.

That didn't happen in the Democrat debate. The so-called moderates treated them differently. We all knew that was going to happen. Nothing new here.

I'm actually disappointed in CNBC. They used to be at least a little different.
Fox has gone downhill since the Megyn Kelly incident and Brit Hume is showing his true colors (RINO).
Oh you poor things. Everyone is aganst you - nm

Cruz nailed it. He pointed out that the Republican - establishment would rather have

[ In Reply To ..]
Hillary than a true conservative.

Cruz is my candidate. He wants to put us back on the gold standard. - It's about time someone in Washington

[ In Reply To ..]
understood this.

Greenspan understood the importance of this, too. - A lot of people don't understand

[ In Reply To ..]
the impact currency exchange has, but then again economics is not understood either.

Establishment RINOs including Fox ignore Cruz. - They act as if he doesn't exist.

[ In Reply To ..]
I noticed a long time ago on Fox they were deliberately trying to influence the election by ignoring or downplaying anything about Cruz.

Both parties have candidates bought and paid for by Big Money. Bush for the Republicans and Hillary for the Democrats.

As for you conservatives out there who support Cruz...

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”-Mahatma Gandhi
I hope Cruz wins - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
He would be the easiest to beat. He's a good speaker, but he has an explosive temper and is always angry. The American people will not put up with that very long. I hope he becomes the candidate and gets as much air time as possible. I really do. He's an angry man.

Cruz is about the only one in Washington representing true - conservatives. The rest of the party

[ In Reply To ..]
is in with the Democrats. It's just a big Uniparty. They all want the same thing. Look at who they replaced Boehner with - Paul Ryan. Are you kidding me?

Eggheads who graduated from an ivy league college - think they're smarter than everyone else.

My neighbor (a school teacher) was building a fence. He was nailing his 1”x 6” fence boards to untreated studs on the ground. My husband (a mechanic) told him that he should put the lower ones at least a couple inches off the ground or they would rot and be eaten by insects. He made fun of my husband and reminded him that he had a "higher level of education" than my husband. How do you suppose that turned out for him after a couple of years in the wet climate of Western Washington State?

The point is, this is who is running Washington DC.
So you're against knowlege and education - Understood
[ In Reply To ..]
I want an intelligent, well-educated president who is well informed on the issues and has common sense. Not all educated people lack common sense, but the people on that Republican debate stage seemed to lack both, with some exceptions on the education part. Cruz is highly educated, but lacks common sense and has the anger thing going for him, which makes him a very poor candidate. Some of the others are highly educated too, but none of them exhibited any knowledge of the issues or any common sense.

TRUMP? - seriously

[ In Reply To ..]
I don’t get the appeal of his smug arrogance. I watched the entire debate and he was not even a player IMO.

Rubio/Kaisch were the actual adults in the room and actually got the closest to addressing real issues.

The rest was more 8th grade recess- neener-neener politics.

Rubio can't balance his own checkbook - That will never work

[ In Reply To ..]
They will rip him apart in a general election because he is economically incompetent.

CNBC Editor: Media Must Remember Readers Are Not As Ignorant OrJun 30, 2017
CNBC editor Nikhil Deogun said members of the press needed to stick to facts and remind themselves that their readers "are not as ignorant, as stupid as we think they are" during a discussion Wednesday on media in the Donald Trump era. In a panel moderated by Katie Couric at the Aspen Ideas Festival, Deogun and Wall Street Journal editor Gerard Baker, The Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, Time editor Nancy Gibbs and USA Today editor Joanne Lipman delved into the challenges of covering Trump a ...

The first person to ask a question was Kerry Ladka. "Was Ladka satisfied with how the president responded? Simply no. “I really didn’t think he totally answered the question satisfactorily as far as I was concerned,” Ladka tells the Erik Wemple Blog. After the debate . . . "President Obama, though, wasn’t done with Kerry Ladka. 'After the debate, the president came over to me and spent about two minutes with me privately,' says the 61-year-old Ladka, who works at Global ...

My Take On The Debate. SmOct 14, 2015
I was struck last night by the huge difference in what we can infer about the nature of Bernie's and Hillary's thought processes while they were processing the challenging questions that Anderson Cooper threw out at them individually. Hillary's demeanor reminded me of one of those canned Miss America Pageant contestant types whom you can tell is so focused on searching her memory bank for a previously stored 'good answer' that the importance of the issue itself was tota ...

Is Anyone Watching The GOP Debate On CNN?Feb 22, 2012
What are your thoughts about the questions and how the candidates are answering them?  Has anyone decided for sure who to vote for (if you're voting in the primaries or caucuses)?  I'm still undecided, so if you have decided, I would appreciate some input as to why you chose that candidate. ...

Diaper Debate...Sep 17, 2011
Okay, so here it is. I have a very good friend who is expecting. She is low income and has MA, WIC, food stamps, etc. She is slowly buying clothes, furniture, etc. a little at a time before baby arrives around May.  She knows about Goodwill, rummage sales, resale shops, and all that too.  She has other friends as well (who have had children) telling her which diapers are the best. She wants to start buying diapers now so she has a few packs/boxes to start with when the baby arrives. Sh ...

I'm So Tired Of The Tax Debate!May 14, 2010
Tax the rich more....tax the poor less, etc.  It is my opinion that if you tax the rich more, it won't help that much considering there are so many loopholes in the tax code that I'm sure the rich will find a way to get out of paying more taxes.  Why don't we just do a flat tax.  That will eliminate the loopholes.  Simple and easy...probably why they won't do it though.  They need something confusing so the crooks in the world can get out of paying ta ...

How To Debate The DonaldAug 03, 2015
This article is amusing. I would hope there is a lot of practice going on for other Republicans on how not to let him get under their skin. They should refuse to answer him directly (which I don't think they are supposed to anyway) and calmly present their perspective, no matter how wild his responses and answers are. If possible, they should ignore him and pretend he has not spoken at all. I particularly liked this reference-- "Other than a dart gun?," he said. "A tranquilizer gun ...

Debate Impressions? Sep 17, 2015
On TV this morning, Trump is complaining about the length of the debate.  Commentators are saying he appeared tired and "disappeared"  for about 40 minutes.  Kind of amusing coming from the "high energy" guy.  Do you think if he got the 2:00 am phone call he would say "call me back after 10 and I've had my coffee"? I think it is sort of insulting that he is complaining about standing for 3 hours.  Just think of all the Walmart workers on their feet all day, some wo ...

Need Opinions On An Ongoing Debate Between DH And MeSep 21, 2011
My DH and I have been having an ongoing argument about family obligations on the part of grown children.  We are so invested in our points of view that we sometimes get almost hostile and have to stop the conversation. We Need A New Topic To Discuss And DebateMay 08, 2011
On my mind has been the stealth helicoptor that was left behind in the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. I think the young heroes on that raid just got a little too anxious on that one.
