and, of course Fox News misunderstands, misconstrues and villifies education once again, mainly because they can't understand the broader concepts.
1. FOX shows racism in pointing out that the professor is white - does that matter? Guess it would have just been bonus points if he were black?
2. Once again, the suggestion of not studying racism will make it go away.
3. She would love to hear his opinions on the course, TAKE the course, or is she afraid she will be infected with actual education? There are courses on communism, fascism, democracy, comparative religions, et cetera, and we do not BECOME the course.
This criticism and fear of education is along the same lines as the Oklahoma legislature shutting down AP History---fear of education and all sides of the issue, educating people and letting them decide for themselves what is right and wrong.
As to the U.S. Race Theory and the Problem of Whiteness, it in no way states that the racial problems in the U.S. are all from white people. I am absolutely certain that the course is bringing to light the awareness of the role white society has played in forming the political, economic and social structure that black society lives in. It is but one facet of race theory.
